VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

gf, nab
Still pleased with the rise, I'm just under with an av of 22.8 but not worried.

pumben - 28 Jul 2007 22:23 - 2048 of 2220

In the mail today it mentioned that the price of uranium ha dropped to about $120 & could go as far $95 becaue the U ha decided to sell some of their stockpile. What do you think this will do for the demand for these companies.

goldfinger - 29 Jul 2007 13:54 - 2049 of 2220

Tail off for a while but then strong demand again.

driver - 09 Aug 2007 16:59 - 2050 of 2220

With so much going on and producing Gold and Silver I would have thought the sp looks a good buying opportunity.

The Company has now received approval from government authorities, the Bureau of Land Management and the State of Utah, to commence drilling on its North Alice Extension project in Lisbon Valley, Utah. A drilling contract has been signed for an additional rig and drilling is expected to commence next week.

Exploration drilling continues on the Company's breccia pipe properties in northern Arizona,

Additional drilling is also in progress on the Miller pipe.

Geological mapping completed at the Eastern Star property has identified two additional pipe targets.

An additional pipe target has also been identified at Miller,

The Company continues to work towards permitting its remaining properties for drilling and is in negotiations on several further uranium property acquisition opportunities.

I agree with your comments, driver. However, the time is rapidly approaching when they need to actually start finding and extracting the stuff - not just talk about it. How many times have we seen similar stories from small mining companies bragging about their 'potential' finds? Market sentiment is certainly not what it was, particularly at the moment. Therefore, it's time to put up or shut up. Only my opinion, though!

Buying at 19p , got to be good .

BigTed - 10 Aug 2007 10:02 - 2053 of 2220

sold up the other day at 21.5p was wondering how long the support would hold out at 20p level, guess that answers my question...

tipton11 - 10 Aug 2007 12:44 - 2054 of 2220

pma ... you are absolutly right, drilling is great fun, ask your dentist but when are we going to see some production?

driver - 10 Aug 2007 17:27 - 2055 of 2220

Your answer is in the last update.

Uranium mineralisation has been encountered in all holes completed and the Company is
currently interpreting these results, with conclusions expected in September.

driver - 22 Aug 2007 16:27 - 2056 of 2220

Hopefully this will get back to the 25p + level before the drilling results.

graylyn2 - 23 Aug 2007 07:52 - 2057 of 2220

well it is climbing nicly and quite a few market maker buys this week which I find interesting, sell off was overdone! but is that not always the case, still it does allow you to buy at a much cheaper price.

robertalexander - 04 Sep 2007 13:29 - 2058 of 2220

Driver,
are the mining results due at start or end of sept?
SP doesnt seem to be doing a lot. still holding att.

VANE Minerals Plc (AIM: VML)
Uranium Exploration Update

VANE Minerals Plc ('VANE' or the 'Company') announces an update on its on-going
northern Arizona breccia pipe exploration activities conducted by VANE Minerals
(US) LLC, its wholly-owned uranium subsidiary.

HIGHLIGHTS

- Mineralized pipe discovered at Miller Southwest with 200ft of
continuous mineralization

- All pipes contain uranium mineralization

- All targets drilled warrant additional drilling

- Additional pipe targets acquired taking total targets to 38

Drill holes have been completed on three of the four known pipes that VANE holds
- Miller, Big Red, and Red Dike. In addition, a hole has been completed on the
newly identified Miller Southwest target and has confirmed that the target is a
mineralized breccia pipe.

Matthew Idiens, Director of Corporate Development commented 'These initial
results are encouraging and show the targets all warrant additional drilling;
new down-hole geophysics techniques on these drilled holes should assist in
positioning the next drill holes. Having tested 5 targets and with 4 of them
showing such encouraging results we believe the total pipe package, which now
stands at 38 targets, offers substantial potential'.

Miller Southwest

The first hole completed on the project, hole 691-3 was completed to 1520 feet
and discovered a new breccia pipe. The hole encountered 200 feet of continuous
mineralization from 1230-1430 feet in the targeted ore horizon of the Hermit and
Supai Formations. Within this interval an intercept averaging 0.10% eU3O8 over
16.5 feet was intersected that contained a high of 0.33% eU3O8.

Red Dike

Two holes have been completed, 698-1 and 698-2, both of which are mineralized,
even though both holes did not appear to be in the pipe through the entire
Hermit-Supai horizon. The gamma log in hole 698-1 reveals above background gamma
levels from 495 to 595 feet and 965 to 1095 feet (which is above the favorable
horizon), and also shows anomalous radioactivity in the bottom 300 feet of the
hole which appeared to be outside the pipe. In addition, the log showed 5 feet
of uranium mineralization at the Coconino-Hermit contact with grade up to 0.05%
eU3O8. In hole 698-2, one narrow zone of weak mineralization was encountered
between 1325 and 1335 feet. The maximum grade encountered was 0.02% eU3O8.

Miller Pipe

On the Miller Pipe, a second hole was completed on the inferred northwest part
of the pipe. This hole, 691-2, was completed to the depth of 1605 feet and
intersected the pipe through the favorable horizon and encountered anomalous
uranium mineralization for 1113 feet from 402 to 1515 feet including the
favorable Hermit-Supai section.

The results from Big Red Pipe were detailed in the press release of 3 May 2007.

Rabbit target

A programme of 11 shallow holes was completed on the Rabbit target. All targets
drilled to date warrant additional exploration. VANE is investigating the use
of down-hole geophysics in the completed holes in order to assist in the
planning of further drill holes where the position of the pipe at depth has been
difficult to locate.
