Do you know the source of this rumour and are they reliable?

The oily one

bristlelad - 29 Sep 2006 08:25 - 20480 of 27111

reported in the TIMES THIS MORNING////

ssanebs - 29 Sep 2006 08:31 - 20481 of 27111

this is true i think they will only manage 10m

garypat2 - 29 Sep 2006 08:44 - 20482 of 27111

The company only have the right to issue shares up to 1.3 billion, so that means issuing a maximum of 300million new shares, if at 1p this would only raise 3million not 7 as rumoured, so there is no facts to back up this rumour!

as always

well said garypat.
too few facts, too many rumours

stockdog - 29 Sep 2006 09:49 - 20484 of 27111

gpat - of course they will need an EGM to give director's appropriate powers for the new placing above their current mandate, just like all other companies when they raise more capital above agreed limits. This has no bearing on wether the rumour is true or not. As rumours go, it cetainly sounds plausible.

Raising 15m is perhaps difficult to convince. On the one hand it is considerably greater than their cash burn should be if their promise of imminent contracts is to be believed (and they must be believed to even get started) so the balance must be for expansion; on the other hand, were I an investor minded to help, I'd like to see contracts stage reached before offering up more cash for further expansion (capitalisation of Starpol plant jv's?, expansion of the current jv capacity?). So it may need to be got away in two stages.

There are no concerns in Stanelcoland.

All relaxed and news imminent - just irritated at the false rumours being touted.

aldwickk - 29 Sep 2006 10:11 - 20486 of 27111

pinnacle,

In your dreams.

robinhood - 29 Sep 2006 10:14 - 20487 of 27111

I know I am only a "bloody" foreigner , but I was always taught that the word imminent meant -likely to happen soon. Does anyone have a spare dictionary for the SEO board?

pinnacle - 29 Sep 2006 10:15 - 20488 of 27111

My access to information enables me to be comfortable.

So I don't have to rely on my dreams!!

hewittalan6 - 29 Sep 2006 10:15 - 20489 of 27111

Pinnacle,
Are you in a position to reveal your source or substantiate that.
I understand if a public BB is not the place, so feel free to mail me.

Haystack - 29 Sep 2006 10:18 - 20490 of 27111

There was someone sitting under a cash machine yesterday. He said "can you spare any money for SEO". Had had a box with about 20p in it.

garyble - 29 Sep 2006 10:18 - 20491 of 27111

15m at 1p = 1.5bn shares: or ~2.5bn shares in issue!....Can't see that happening.

maestro - 29 Sep 2006 10:20 - 20492 of 27111

not worried...chilling out with a nice fat cigar

sellsell - 29 Sep 2006 10:21 - 20493 of 27111

pinnacle really hope you are right, to raise 15m at 1p will be a disaster for current shareholders

stockdog - 29 Sep 2006 10:22 - 20494 of 27111

what kind of filter you using, maestro? I bet it's an RF Havana Starpole you're smoking!

Mad Pad - 29 Sep 2006 10:23 - 20495 of 27111

I agree Robinhood. For" weeks" read "many months",I may yet have to update that to "within the year".I am of course referring to "Starpol 3000 approval expected within weeks" from the AGM.

Biscuit - 29 Sep 2006 10:28 - 20496 of 27111

Does anyone know if Starpol 3000 has FDA approval? I just think it's strange that nothing has been announced. Has the trial with the "fast food chain" finished? The RNS's said that the demand in USA was "immense" yet there hasn't been a single order for a single product in the last few months, which I don't understand. Has anybody spoken to Stanelco recently?

Cheers,

Biscuit

Oilywag - 29 Sep 2006 10:29 - 20497 of 27111

From the in depth research I and two colleagues did in the middle of August, our reliable source - insofar as he knew what was happening behind the scenes - told us that FDA approval was 12-16 weeks away.

Now it should 6-10 weeks away - unless they encounter any problems, which they shouldn't as Starpol 3000 is basically Starpol 2000 with the colour taken out of it. Now before anybody with technical information shoots be down in flames, that was a very simplistic description of the main difference between the two products.
