cynic - 01 Oct 2006 16:13 - 20548 of 27111

garbyle ... i thought you were a fan of this rubbish (sorry; biodegradable) company? ..... if so, clearly you are now rightly disillusioned

ths - 01 Oct 2006 17:19 - 20549 of 27111

He might have been being facetious cynic

cynic - 01 Oct 2006 17:40 - 20550 of 27111

perhaps he was drunk instead, in which case perhaps "in vino veritas"

kimoldfield - 02 Oct 2006 11:06 - 20551 of 27111

Silence is golden.............so is the colour of a Greenseal tray?

Crikey, down again! 1.5p....1p soon, anyone?
What no-one appears to answer is my question re the placing in May/June06 where T&G placed shares to raise 3.7m (after expenses).
If it hapened, why the gloom? - the Plaiing price was a robust 8p, but at the time that was the Market price - and had been 13p only a while earlier.

So with the Placing successful; to part-pay for the acquision of Biotec and for working capital...... why the gloom?
I saw the Market was happy between 12-24p, then the 8p-Placing pegged the price, but now it should rise (since they have more value +and fall due to a small dilution).....but the fall to nearly 1p is quite extraordinary, isn't it?

Can anyone say?, make it simple, I just don't get it....
Holding in hope...
((Constantly having to redraft their RNS can't help; don't they employ anyone with a GCSE?))

hewittalan6 - 02 Oct 2006 15:06 - 20554 of 27111

No Gloom here, ho!!
The nerves are due to the rumours (of which there are many) about the fundraising. Some rumours contain the figure 1.5p as a placing price and others talk about raising huge sums of money. Taken together, the market fears a massive dilution of stock, to raise an awful lot of cash.
This would be no bad thing in many ways, if the money was used to roll out Starpol and GS. The big worry is that its a last ditch attempt to raise money just to keep the company going and that nothing will flow from it.
I don't subscribe to that part. I believe that much is to come, from many sources, and the fundraising would be better described as being for capital investment, rather than capital raising.
As usual, IMHO, DYOR and don't buy yet. There will be plenty of opportunity after the news breaks (if it does).

dawall - 02 Oct 2006 15:27 - 20555 of 27111

so Alan what is your prediction as to how much cash is req. and how it will get raised?

dawall - 02 Oct 2006 15:27 - 20556 of 27111

and when of course

oblomov - 02 Oct 2006 15:29 - 20557 of 27111

Nice post, Alan.

This isn't you by any chance, is it? lol

hewittalan6 - 02 Oct 2006 15:36 - 20558 of 27111

I know a different version that sums it up better, Oblo.
The boy stood on the burning deck, his pockets full of crackers,
A spark shot up his trouser leg and.....................................answers on a postcard please.

No Idea, dawall. If I posted that i'd just be following other rumours.
A large amount could be seen as good, as it may be to finance some very profitable moves. It could be seen as bad, as it could be read as no cashflow coming for some time yet.
Me? I'm ever the optimist.
I think we will see a large placing raising oodles of money and then a quiet week or two, with no news and a falling SP until it suddenly pops forth and sends it north again, rapidly.
Despite all, I am still quietly confident. But DYOR, WTFDIK etc. etc.

Mad Pad - 02 Oct 2006 16:33 - 20560 of 27111

Thanks Cynic yet another really useful post.

hewittalan6 - 02 Oct 2006 16:37 - 20561 of 27111

What the hell does a price monitoring extension mean?
Anyone?

soul traders - 02 Oct 2006 16:39 - 20562 of 27111

Al, it's about nine inches long and ferruled at one end. Very handy for that hard-to-reach bit of monitoring.

hewittalan6 - 02 Oct 2006 16:40 - 20563 of 27111

9 Inches????
You been talking to the missus again??
;-))
Alan

soul traders - 02 Oct 2006 16:43 - 20564 of 27111

Mad Pad, I think Cynic ought to be paid by Money AM to warn some people on this BB to play safely.

SEO causes me only so much heartache, but after looking at today's gambling stocks bust, I think the last time I felt so stuck for comprehension was on 9/11.

What possesses someone to spend 100K on a stock in a sector which is threatened with collapse and then lose 60% in a single morning?

Sorry, but my brain is failing to handle some people's attitude to risk.

kimoldfield - 02 Oct 2006 16:43 - 20565 of 27111

Price monitoring extension
A time extension to the auction call period. It occurs if the auction match price breaches price tolerance limits. The extension allows further entry and deletion of orders.

There, that's nice clear isn't it ?!

soul traders - 02 Oct 2006 16:45 - 20566 of 27111

She said 9 inches, Al, but when she held her hands apart to demonstrate it can't have been more than about 5.5 ;o))
