scussy, the firewall will be running in the firmware inside the router. I don't know this particular router but normally you would type the address of your router into a browser (e.g. http://192.168.0.1 ), log in to the router and set up the firewall. Should be covered in the manual :-)) It will be worth however checking the manufacturer's website for a new version of the firmware before you start.

scussy, k has already answered this and I put some more in the other thread. You may well find that the firewall is on by default .
http://www.adslguide.org is normally a good site to check for info on particular routers

Some of you with long memories will remember I had a problem displaying stockwatch and level 2, as well as some other sites. Well, everything is now sorted after various emails with medion but I had to do a complete reinstall of everything to get there!
Thanks to everyone who tried to help :-)

Nearly a month since the last post on here. We must all be a right load of PC experts. :-)
My reason for posting? I wondered if anyone had bought the 19" TFT Monitor from Aldi at 299 recently, and if so, I wanted to ask "Are they any good? If so, could you recommend one?"
I read a bit about them here:
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?, etc, etc

Following a computer breakdown,I recently had a new computer built by a friend, and installed Symantec Internet Security 2004. Since commission I have been unable to view streaming sharts on MAM. I had 2001 on the old machine and never had this problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Roger.

Cheers Optimist - I ran Spybot and that's how I found it - it's been pretty busy since Wednesday, when it appears to have installed itself in the start-up menu. Hmm, it threw up 37 bits of spyware in total...but I've just installed adaware, and it found another 300 of the darlings. Oh, and I tried to zap the wild thing with the add/remove thingy, but it won't budge. :(
