Helluva 'n afternoon, running round like a headless chicken. New house almost ready to move into and that starts Monday. Hopefully the boiler will be up and running Saturday/Sunday. I'm great at timing, eh - NOT!!!!!!!

Give me alcohol and make it strong and plentiful! ;-)

lw - cheers. Luckily we seem to be having the mildest early December ever. 9C today and nothing below 0C overnight for the next few days. Weird. Someone's looking out for me. ;-)) Have had the Rayburn and coal fires going for the past couple of weeks to keep the chill off, so no worries. Air con???????? Must be nice doon there.

Oh don't get me started on the Gluehwein, guys - one of my favourite memories is of where my brother and his wife used to live in a French hamlet, the evening hours spent whizzing away in a hammock suspended from the beams of a wattle and daub/stone house, next to a blazing log fire, with a cauldron of the stuff close by...there were stacks of French Asterix comics in the bidets of every bathroom, of which there were three - and they were always occupied..

And oh, the snow!

I'll be keeping check on mg at a distance tomorrow, BigA - methane fumes can be pretty lethal.. ;)

I can appreciate the piles of Asterix mags in the toilet, but we Brits have moved on and we use toilet rolls.

You don't use bidets though so in that respect you're quite primitive :-)

Funny thing, that, about bog-rolls...when I came back from Turkey it took me 3 days to remember not to put the daily barrage of bills into the bin..

You can't get decent toilet paper anymore, I haven't seen Izal for years; it's all that soft 'brown finger' stuff that women insist on not the real men's stuff!
