RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

OG

no probs - one of my friends emailed me and asked if i also posted as overgrowth lol!!!!!

i think the risk reward is not in place for the shorters this year - the fundamentals will be too strong - theyll probably still try mind

the more i look at this share the less i worry about short term fluctuations - i just try and picture what the results will be like in 2 yrs time

overgrowth - 28 Jan 2005 22:55 - 2062 of 2406

Me too!

boxerdog - 29 Jan 2005 17:59 - 2063 of 2406

Hi Fred :o)))

Fred1new - 03 Feb 2005 15:49 - 2066 of 2406

Isn't it quiet. I am beginning to drop in here when I want a rest. Is it ow enought to top up again ?

pachandl - 03 Feb 2005 16:13 - 2067 of 2406

No Fred - please go back to bed and continue with your rest (I think Douggie did not even manage to wake up this morning so you are one up on him). Perhaps worth waiting for stronger evidence of T trading before committing further funds. Nice to hear from you (or anybody for that matter) - best of luck with your other shares. Yawn .........zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

1982roy - 03 Feb 2005 16:20 - 2068 of 2406

we have all gone on holiday with douggie, back soon at 40-45 (hopefully)

Fred1new - 03 Feb 2005 17:19 - 2069 of 2406

I will put the kettle on, but aren't BPRG and SEO doing well. Don't really understand why generaly when the market moves down my shares seem to go up more rapidly. Not complaining just wishing I understood why.

Douggie - 04 Feb 2005 10:53 - 2070 of 2406

Hi all I keep looking in but there isn't anything to say at the moment is there, everything XXXXd that there will be a nice big buy spree pre results, I can't buy anymore fully commited from long ago. ;o\

pachandl - 04 Feb 2005 11:33 - 2071 of 2406

I must admit that I am hoping for a clear consolidation in the sp over the next few days and then a slow rise up to results day. Whether this will re-test 37p resistance is anybody's guess.

Fred1new - 04 Feb 2005 14:13 - 2072 of 2406

I have been re-evaluating the strategy with this share after perusing the interim results and report 10/9/04 and flicking through the various news releases.
I was running with a reasonable stop loss. But have decided that for the time this is unnecessary and also fearful even if the results are good the traders will flog and wait hopefully to buy again later. I think there have been a number of companies written down on what normally would be considered good results.

I think the timing of short term selling and re-buying will be to clever for me on this share and running to close a stop loss it may possibly force me into that situation.

Looking at the maps there would appear to be bit of resistance at about 40 p and then 50p.

This share has a long way to go and I feel I will let it run, unless the results are catastrophic

I must admit this share over the years has rewarded me with 40K realised profit and I think will reward me even more in the future.

I will try and shut up until the results, unless, I am forced to tease Douggie, who hasnt left the price screen for the last 10 days.

Back to worry about something else, like how to cook a cut of veal bought in France.

Good luck every body.

Fred - seems a reasonable strategy. For my part I have decided to hold for the moment but will re-evaluate the position 48hrs before results. I may sell if a spike develops - otherwise I will hold for the year.

Another building block in place - looks like the mms have picked up a few shares the last week - are they planning on selling them for more next week???

Douggie - 04 Feb 2005 18:50 - 2076 of 2406

nice finish to a flat week best wishes all :o)))))

how you feeling now Fred ;o\

overgrowth - 04 Feb 2005 20:11 - 2077 of 2406

Well, great news! - we all knew the TM100 was around the corner.

I wonder how many trackers haven't bought in early ?

Fred1new - 05 Feb 2005 00:35 - 2078 of 2406

Very well thank you Douggie, Holding SEO, RTD BPRG BRW for a while now, Also holding SEG, CSN, SBT. Was a little worried about CASH, but I think it is going to reverse up on monday. I think this is the best week I have had for about 12months. Fingers crossed for next week. Have a good weekend.

pachandl - 05 Feb 2005 12:11 - 2079 of 2406

Excelllent news but, as OG suggests, it all depends on how many trackers have not yet bought in. Keeping my fingers crossed for a 1p rise at start of play Monday.

Fundamentalist - 05 Feb 2005 12:19 - 2080 of 2406

Pach dont think youll need to keep the fingers xxxed, think youll get at least 1p.

Below is an article from todays FT - not overly positive imo. Still mentioning the patent. Also, i see the fcast is for only 7% growth in 2005 - is it just me or is that figure laughable

Benefiting from blocking online shopping fraud
By Sharlene Goff
Published: February 5 2005 02:00 | Last updated: February 5 2005 02:00

As consumers shun the high street for the ease of shopping online, cyber crime is flourishing. One company benefiting is Retail Decisions, a UK group that offers card fraud prevention services to customers including Wal-Mart, Travelocity and Marks and Spencer. Retail's shares, which have more than doubled over the past six months, rose sharply last month on the news it had added Federated Department Stores, the owner of New York's Macy's and Bloomingdales, to its client list. Oriel Securities, joint company broker to Retail, upgraded its forecasts twice last year and now expects pre-tax profit before exceptionals of 6.8m for 2004 and 7.3m for the current year. To date, profit has been driven by the group's fuel card business in Australia, but Oriel expects the group's Card Not Present business to break even soon. Retail is on a p/e of 20 times this year's earnings. It has no direct UK competitor, but given the prospects of the e-commerce market and possible further profit upgrades, the shares may have further to go. The only shadow is a court case that Retail's US rival, CyberSource, has launched regarding patent infringement. Sharlene Goff
