THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Just seen on the local TV that a Company called Cuadrilla are having a meeting tonight about Fracking in Banks, Nr. Southport. May be worth keeping an eye out at the planning/discussions. As a crow flies 10 miles away from me. Not near Mistress Toya.

fracking in banks, whats that 3m ?

3 monkies - 23 Jan 2013 19:23 - 20645 of 81564

Gas DC. Banks is a district, Nr. Southport, Merseyside/Lancashire.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 19:24 - 20646 of 81564

Sorry 3m, I'm with you now. I'm thinking they have found oil in your local HSBC. lol

3 monkies - 23 Jan 2013 19:30 - 20647 of 81564

Nothing so exciting as yet but will keep my eye open for the results of the meeting being held tonight at a place called Mere Brow, a little village hall near Banks. One can research Cuadrilla on the internet - could be interesting or not.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 19:33 - 20648 of 81564

Sounds as bad as here. They are talking about drilling underground from sawbridgeworth to Stansted airport (3 miles as the crow flies) for off airport parking and sounds like underground train into the airport. As long as your house does not drop into the tunnel. lol

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 19:35 - 20649 of 81564

Are you hoping for a compulsory purchase of your house for millions.

3 monkies - 23 Jan 2013 19:38 - 20650 of 81564

I am too far away I would suggest to fall into the tunnel, feel sorry for you if you are only 3 miles away from what is or may be going to happen. This lot will be putting up rigs etc., which won't go down very well in a farming community. If one every buys vetetables e.g. leeks from Aldi most of them come from this area.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 19:44 - 20651 of 81564

Im in the middle as to speak. Perhaps the parking is in David Beckhams front garden lol, as they are looking for a big piece of land in sawbridgeworth. If it goes ahead it will run from the airport to the side of Bishops Stortford onto Sawbridgeworth.
So I would guess there will be a second runway here before long. Also one of the Northern aiports has just purchased Stansted airport.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 19:47 - 20652 of 81564

There is always something going on 3m. The farmers will cash in, if the rigs are on their land. :-))

3 monkies - 23 Jan 2013 20:16 - 20653 of 81564

We are just over populated - may I add, I am not doing a Tanker.

dreamcatcher - 23 Jan 2013 20:50 - 20654 of 81564

Not Tanker mkll lol.

photobucket is an absolute doddle to use - I'll leave you with this to name, which I recently found growing in a school 'forest garden'
