markp, I have been updating it at the weekends lately but will update on new signals from now on.
I'm going to be keeping an eye on wall street again especially towards September 1st.

Afternoon all:
I think we are due for and upday today.If the market opens neutral than going up markedly. If Gaps open higher than will be a bearish scenario with trading low to sideways and than making a move higher towards close. Watch 15.30 for change.

Nice of you to drop in I am still long on the cable and is looking good so far.
Regarding trading the dow etc, there is nothing wrong with you as a trader -you are a good trader.
You are right about trading what you see and not what you feel. I think the best method is to say to yourself " IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT I THINK -BUT WHAT THEY ARE THINKING".

75 pts on the dow so far and am locking in profits.
The cable is still in profit but have given back 48pts -but my feeling uis that later in the evening it will go for the gighs again-not too worried on that as its dec contract.

Got out of the cable earlier with a decentt profit that was locked in from last week.
I have gone long again cable as it fell 180pts.I think it will probabaly rally late afternoon towards close or tomorrow.
Gone short crude oil at $42 -this is just a punt and first time as i know zilch about oil but the chart looked good for a short.

120 points on the dow today.
Going to have a cuppa tea and than watch the market for opps after 7pm -7.30 as i feel we might have a turn or rocket up towards close.
The cable has taken a nose dive by 210 pts and i am still holding my long as its for medium term.
The crude oil was closed in profit-but i dont know anything about oil -just used the chart and traded it.
Gold has gone down aswell.

Just Looked at your Dow Chart and the level at 10060 is spot on so far for stop and reverse the Longs as it just keeps stopping at 10058-10059.
I trust u r well and joining in the fray.

Managed another 50pts on dow and locking in profit.

Out of the dow long with 69 points as the kids want me to drop them at their friends.Better to grab whats in hand than risk.

The durable orders numbers out at 13.30 and beige book results at 19.00.
What are my views for the market today?
I am of the opinion that it will possibly reach 10100-10150 max and then slip down but not markedly.Play around a range in middle ground -remember it is still in a down trend and i feel if it reaches say 10240 than the view should change.So in a nutshell looking for a high near the beginning session with a pullback -but this pull back will not be anything dramatic and a fairly quiet day.
This is my view yours may be different.It takes two views to make a market work.

ps: Someone told me once that to trade the markets sometimes you have to think like a crook as you are pitting your wits against master thieves. So it doesnot matter what we think BUT what they are thinking.!!!!!!!

ym auction now open:
Managed a few scalps on the cable.
Just watching atm.
Durable figures were not brilliant and USD gave a bit of way and gold went up a bit.

Took out a small short dow at 10095 and closed it just for 56pt profit.
Now back to watching the screen I think will probably have a low point around 11.35-11.55pm their time so 4.35-4.55gmt.
Dollar rises so Equities lose a bit generally but does not work totally.

Another short just locked in and 39pts in credit.

Beige book results out at 19.00hrs. I have this gut feeling that they could be a killer in that either bad or good and so the safest thing to do by following my instinct is Stay in cash closed all and going to watch from the fence and if then the game is good then jump in.

Took out a long earlier at 10020 and am 100pts in credit -just going to close it as dinner is ready and the kids are playing havoc.
Enough for today -good day. The only downside is the cable is still a bit negative -then again is for medium term so not worried.
