My local Halifax ran out of money this week (er, "no need to panic..."), because the council has started to reform the road junction and there are heavy lorries about - with heavy drivers sitting in them. I note that Lloyds and Halifax are sharing the same ATM software, presumably this is to present a corporate front, reduce back-office cost etc. etc.

But still no sign of Banks paying SAVERS more interest, so with real loans few and far-between the difference in interest-rate is enormous and hence the "profits" the banks are making.

However, looking at the LT sp graph (see above) it's pretty clear that there are many shareholders with a lot to grumble about. The current sp is little more than a joke and still one gets the impressions Bonuses are swilling about. Grr and Grr!

cynic - 25 Feb 2011 16:34 - 2085 of 5370

seems to me Mr T, that if you genuinely have all this dosh sloshing about, it was a pretty damn fool thing to do to sell MRW so you could buy LLOY, and by the looks of it, losing money on both transactions

ThreeNineInvest - 26 Feb 2011 12:00 - 2086 of 5370

After looking into it now. I don't see any dramatic effect on the SP for at least 9 months. LLOY are going to trade in a range of 10p from this level. There are some significant headwinds ahead in 2011 and I believe the market has now priced these in. The uncertainty of Antonio coming in and the board change, what will the new broom do. He does have an impressive record, and is probably will correct the steer.

TANKER - 28 Feb 2011 08:09 - 2087 of 5370

cynic yes big mistake by me. and the new ceo is a useless muppet. and was useless at is last job that is why he moved on.

HARRYCAT - 08 Mar 2011 09:55 - 2088 of 5370

Tempting to buy now for another bounce up to 70p.
