Pooch! Now listen here......you can't leave us just because you won an award. It's bad manners, Doggo! We're just the same rag-bag of muppets but without your name over the door, the whole flavour of the place changes.
Are you planning on doing another of your 'disappearing' acts? The last one was so good NONE of us could find you.
I want to keep it 'Poochy's Tea Rooms' (wail, sob, TANTRUM!!!)

But, poochy, we like it the way it is.......
We like the games you set up for us, the laissez-faire management and the pooch always being around to entertain us, and the girls always know where they can get a cuddle.
'The AM Catering Establishment with Beverages' just doesn't have the same welcoming tone....

Well my one's loyal to his stomach. Other than that, he's lazy and he barks.

Gausie, Sardine is welcome to start a place on the traders board but i will only hand over the cafe keys here on the investors board to someone that as posted in the tea rooms. Besides i had the door slammed in my face when i began visiting 'Sardines' back in advfn days so i think not.
:-)

I think that Gausie was being sarcastic, Poochy. Haven't most people here been banned from the Fishy Place?

Afternoon DD, and may i say how lovely you look - great hair!
Yes folks, DD as very kindly sent us his picy and it is now viewable in the cafe gallery. I bet your boots it's how you thought he looked!!!
I can also announce that with pleasure and honour! the wonderful Spaceman with the help of Lambykins will be taking over the Tea Rooms towards the end of January with a new thread. I chose Spaceman because we both have the same daft humour and he likes jeff buckley? (mutley snigger) and i know
he will do it proud. I will still be posting and will be taking my poochy blanket and basket with me to this new abode. We will all need to help with the decorating. I still hope to do some investment games in line with the new place. :-) Poochy loves you all. x

Priscilla, Spaceman and poochy have had a tea room board meeting this morning behind closed doors, and the take-over plans have been discussed. We had tea served with do'nuts. :-)

Sorry, Doggo, but the Memorandum and Articles of Association clearly state ...'no meeting can be convened nor Resolutions be legally recognized unless Lemon Drizzle Cake is served at said meeting.'
P.S. How much did you get, Pooch?

AFX News report: On rumours of a take-over shares in GDs Tea Rooms rose by almost 75% to 0.76p a share mid morning. The director of the Tea Rooms Sir GoldDog said 'that will buy me a can of Bods'. Trading in the tea room was excitable and at least 35 shares were bought by a mystery buyer. GoldDog will still own 30% of the tea room franchise whilst the other 70% remains in a box under the bar.

Of course there will be a party. All the booze in the cellar needs to be used up. I'm sure Spaceman will want to start with fresh goods.

Evening all.
Well what a day. Up on the roof for some final tasks before the scaffolding came down, then they took it all down and I saw my house again for the first time in 5 weeks, I had forgotten what it looked like.
Then I was called into an emergency meeting of the Tea Rooms management committee by GD, it seems the poor old dog has been ordered by the vet to get something sorted (he didn't say what but I think it might be in the waterworks department !) and that he wont be able to keep this place going much longer, he was pretty desperate poor thing so I agreed to try and help by taking over the day to day management in the new year. The vet had told GD that he needed the op early Jan but I am not free until later so after consulting the vet GD has be given the all clear to work into January.
As you can imagine this was all a bit of a shock for me but us spacemen are trained to be cool in all situations, I haven't had much time to think about the tea rooms and what to do with it. As far as I can see the place looks after itself pretty well and only occasionally does the management have to step in and take action, for example recently when some prat posted the work 'fucking', what an idiot.
Being a relative newcomer I don't feel its right to change much but for technical reasons we might have to start a new thread.
I am a bit concerned that my sense of humour and my tendency to be an anorak might cause problems but I hope that you will make allowances and let me know when I have overstepped the mark.
I have spoken to Lambykins and he has agreed to do what he can to help, he has suggested a few new rules :-
1) No talking about eating Lamb.
2) No woolly jumpers unless the wool comes from sheep in his family (showing his business sense there)
3) No other Lambs allowed on the management committee.
4) Lemon Drizzle cake to be available at all times.
I haven't made him any promises but at first sight these rules seem pretty sensible to me.
