Wow, there seems to be a break out of discussion on EVS!

Does anybody know if EVS are doing anything specific to address the international student market in the UK? This is the area I work in and it is a very large and expanding market. I did email Steve Evans at one point about advertising in a publication aimed at students that I am involved with but never got any response.

peteark - 25 May 2005 10:00 - 214 of 1643

shar email me your contact phone number and I will get him to call you personally before the weekend.

johnnyechols - 25 May 2005 10:07 - 215 of 1643

Presumably students will have to have a fixed line to benefit fully ?

shareguevara - 25 May 2005 10:13 - 216 of 1643

Yes they would johnny. From experience I can tell you that one of the first things students from overseas do when they arrive in the UK is establish their way of communicating with their families and friends back home. Obviously some will just go down the calling card route but many will establish fixed phone lines as they also are very keen to establish internet connections these days as well.

peteark - 25 May 2005 10:25 - 217 of 1643

shareguevara, I have left my email address on thread to personally assist you, could you have the decency to respond, I will then remove it.

Pete

shareguevara - 25 May 2005 10:27 - 218 of 1643

Sorry Pete, just noticed it. Mail is sent, you can remove now.

FLOPPYJOE - 25 May 2005 11:08 - 221 of 1643

Just done a dummy trade. You can buy up to 375k at 4.1.The offer then goes up to 4.2p for any purchase over that amount.

advans - 25 May 2005 11:18 - 222 of 1643

Best stick to two trades of 375k then Floppy! I will watch out for them!!!

FLOPPYJOE - 25 May 2005 11:22 - 223 of 1643

LOL wish i had the spondies to buy more.Just didnt want anyone paying over the odds if they were thinking of a big buy.

QUINAN - 25 May 2005 11:27 - 224 of 1643

advans - 25 May 2005 11:32 - 225 of 1643

Cant imagine many people on here having any money left for a big purchase.

advans - 25 May 2005 11:33 - 226 of 1643

Quin, I am just about to send you mail! 5 mins!

peteark - 25 May 2005 11:37 - 227 of 1643

By the looks of things most people must be prefering to stay on the other site.

peteark - 25 May 2005 11:41 - 228 of 1643

Just made a company look rather silly when they said there calling cards where far cheaper than CCR. Turns out we are only 100% cheaper......minimum, I did enjoy mailing them the information, with proof.
