I also used to sing in a choir too, since you mention it. No longer able to be sure of getting to rehearsals every week. Concentrate on my daugther's violin more now.

RE cc, the following extract is from Preliminary Results:
"... in the light of further evidence that has been identified since the original hearing, and on the basis of legal advice received, Stanelco beleives that it will be able to continue to pursue this area of technology. Stanelco will also be seeking leave to appeal the court's judgement."
The point is also made that: "InGel is important but no longer a key element in the success of the Group and, in mitigation untilmatters are resolved, we have reduced the resources on this project."
SD: I've been seeking out some canine-friendly investments for you and suggest BTB, BTK and NWT. Hope this gives you some fruitful research! Let me have your feedback, please!

Eric, interesting to rehearse the exsiting arguments why cc not a real threat to the overall performance of the company, but what brought that on all of a sudden? Has someone been raising the issue again? It does seem limited solely to the soluble capusule/Ingel bit of the business, which as you say they have effectively put on the back burner. Note entirely convinced that they should or can go to appeal which would involve more costs from both sides potentially. Isn't there a settlemment in exchange for ongoing royalties that would be better for both sides, rather than continued uncertainty and ever increasing acrimony?
I'm happy to look into Bark To Basics, Bite The Kitten and Newfoundland Wags Tail, but am in imminent danger of having a new day job suggested if I spend any less time on it than currently! So give a me a little time, please.

SD. I agree. However, some were getting nervous again and there was reference to a court appearance on 16th March. According to the Prelims the situation is less clear-cut than assumed. Quote: "The court founf that one of the families (making capsules from two water-soluble films using RF) belonged to BioProgress (except for some of the claims in the patent which were awarded jointly to Stanelco and BioProgress) and two of the families were found to beleong to Stanelco (....). For reasons which Stanelco does not accept, it was found to have breached its duty of confidence to BioProgress."
The court appearance could be assessing Stanelco's liability in respect of costs and damages, but it also appears likely that SEO will be seeking leave to appeal. In any case, SEO are downplaying its significance and I suspect that the worst that can happen for them is that they have to drop some of the InGel development. I suspect B**G fans have been overstating the significance of the whole deal.
Pretty good effort and as good as the originals revealed to me (Bark to Basics could be a contributor to Bos's Band!): Buried The Bone; Banished to Kennel; No Walkies Today. Obviously been a naughty dog!

Have you noticed that BPRG and SEO share prices are converging! - Maybe they will pass each other soon!
A note about StockDog - Not too many dogs are clever enough to do stock control!

tipton: SEO don't need the exclusivity deal but ASDA do. Therefore, ASDA will be prepared to pay for the privilege! The other point is that, if ASDA are paying a given amount for a 12-month exclusive deal, they might as well start it as late as possible; they are already behaving as if it is a done deal.
sd: I seem to remember you saying that you were one of only two doing the job in Europe. Seems that we may need 20 questions to work that out (harking again to the past as we old stagers tend to do!). First question - how many in the USA?

evening all. sd, do you still play as we are now short on solo euph. ours did what euph players normally do ,threw a major strop and has moved on. typical. prima donnas the lot of ya! :). if you ever did competitions you will understand how damned annoying it is to put that much effort in only for the adjudcator to dismiss it because he doesnt agree with your interpretation of the test piece regardless of how well you played. as for as laying down a beat, leave that to me being the "animal" impersonator at the back that i am. (no old and very tired drummer jokes , please).
moving on.....
strange day. what happened? when i left for work we were flying high, ( like a bird in the sky) . then again , this IS seo and the price moves up and down like a choir girls knickers,( we all know what you choristers are really like ruthie!!!!!!:))
my take on the cc hasnt changed. seo do not want to give up and as much as i want this behind us ,i do feel it isnt the worst thing in the world to do, to keep on appealing. bprg wont want this to drag on and on and the threat of further appeals may help them be reasonable in their compensation claim.

Share price volatility predicted by MOI at the weekend. Too many people trying to buy at the bottom and sell at the top, until next news SEO are caught up in a traders game and a tree-shake to get some shares for the big investors lark.
My powder is still dry, having not topped up yet, but Bosley, I'm now also into MOI this afternoon ahead of the results. Tipton, exclusivity will be good for SEO, extra revenue and chance to grow sensibly rather than too quickly with resultof end up pleasing nobody, look at the problems with ASC and their growth. Growth with Asda also provides entry to US and Germany which are large meat markets. SEO has time on its side, Tesco and Sainsburys will have to wait, UNLESS they get foods packed by someone with a new Ross Reiser. Ever wondered why Terry Robins no longer at Sainsburys?

bos - good to see you in better humour - not sure you'd rate my playing anymore, my lips a bit saggy these days - the recorder's about all I can manage. But thanks for asking.
eric - there are a number in the US - say 6, one for each competitoor and my parent company, although I did use a slightly restricted definition to keep the number in Europe down to 2, by limiting it to MD status, rather than all execs. However, I'm not sure the general readership is interested in what a musical dog does with his day - it's not really that exciting.
I'll email you my prelim thoughts on the three amigos, not sure my tired brian is fit for general release. If we think it's worth it, we can start a new thread for each one later.

the bosley doo dah dog band welcomes all with a musical bent, driver. now all we need is a spoons player and we can start gigging. i have no idea wether tracker funds run on auto, but i do agree with you that its an important step forward. more profile plus more buyers. fund buys also decrease volatilty as most are buy and hold. its all good news.
andys, its pretty much typical seo really. up..... down ...up down....shake it all about. mos is very quiet at the moment. i was hoping for a good run upto results. never mind. by the way, whats a ross reiser?
sd, i had to ask. as temperamental as euph players are, a good band needs a good solo euph.

Sorry you're disappointed in your mates for not responding on tracker funds! Caught up in band and canine issues, I'm afraid! Just looked at an old copy of Money Management and there were (18 months ago!) 69 small company unit trusts with av. fund size of 98m or some 6.8bill in total. How many of these will be tracker funds? Its probably a relevant question to determine the average investment you would expect in SEO irrespective of whether the fund is a tracker or not. The overall sum is not that great: if SEO's share was 0.2%, that would be some 14m. In comparison, UK All Company funds had about 60bil invested and SEO could be better represented in some of the growth funds therein. I suspect the movement from active traders will probably outweigh the influence of tracker funds.
