It wasn' to wine I was referring when I suggested you may be "modern". As for British wine, some is excellent although usually a bit on the dry side for my taste.

No, I haven't gone for the L2 trial yet. I've been a bit too busy to do it justice. Although I have been here posting quite a bit I've been involved with other events that have precluded lengthy research. I see they have just started another trial today so I have yet more chance to have a go. As an aside, I would like MaM to have a pay-as-you-go L2 facility. For people like me, who normally have only about 15 minutes a day on-line when the markets are open, it would be quite a boon.

A couple of prospects have come to mind, BSG and GFRD. GFRD in particular looks like a break-out might be imminent.

Socs,

Personally I wouldn't enter either of those stocks at their current levels. Not saying that they won't continue to rise from here, but they are both due a pullback which could happen at any time. They both gave strong buy signals over a month ago when they were much lower. That was your ideal entry point.

I think that you might have missed your L2 opportunity for September as you had to register by yesterday. am do special trial offers regularly so, hopefully, there might be another one soon.

L2 is pay-as-you-go, btw. You pay for a month and it goes for a month. I think that there is an issue concerning Exchange fees and the streaming -v- refresh issue which means that it costs as much to have it on all day as it costs for a single 15 minute session.

:-)

L2 would really be a waste of resources to me at present. If I were to be 15 minutes late home from work I would not get any benefit from the live feeds. Also, the number and value of trades that I make do not justify the expense. Time will come when that is not the case but just at present I can use the 705 per year for extra investments.

You are right, I've missed the September chance for free L2 trial but I've a suspicion they will have another promotion soon.

Thanks for your view on the two shares, always good to have a second opinion.

Hils: Ah yes, it was the SF Bay Area I had in mind. Never mind, another time, then.

So much for the "light patchy rain" The garden needs some work as usual at this time of the year, some nice weather would be nice to get it done, not the deluge we have had.

TIM

No rain here for days just lovely sunshine.

Socs you popping in tonight????

Socrates - 16 Sep 2003 19:12 - 2105 of 23498

Wow, what a crowd we are drawing these days! I think it must be due to a shortage of sherry trifle. Perhaps I'd better get some in?

8 Ball
Sorry I didn't reply to you on Sunday, it was due to a severe attack of knackeredness that forced me to crash out early.

This_is_me - 17 Sep 2003 19:15 - 2106 of 23498

No sign of Hilary's legs these days in the tea room.

Socrates - 17 Sep 2003 21:02 - 2107 of 23498

Oh, you just missed them TIM, they are good you know!

This_is_me - 18 Sep 2003 10:42 - 2108 of 23498

I hope it is not the old smelly socks lying around that is keeping everyone away!!

The cups are getting dusty and some have the odd dead and dried out beastie in them. We need one of the girls back to wash them!

It's time you cleaned your glasses TIM, the place is absolutely spotless. And I'll thank you not to refer to me as "old smelly socks". Come and help me eat this sherry trifle, there is only a half hundredweight left and there is a fresh load due tomorrow, my special recipe, uses rum instead of sherry. The only 80 proof trifle in the world.

Bubbly in the cooler, where are you?

Hello Socks, Sorry to have missed you yesterday. I was out celebrating with lots of pink champagne last night. Hope you are well.

DYS doing its usual of tracking sideways until it hits the support line and then it should go up again. Nice, predictable little share.....
