Stanelco PLC, a radio frequency applications group, said it
has entered into an exclusive, non-binding heads of terms with Robert Reiser &
Co Inc on the use of RF sealing technology in Reiser''s tray lidding machines in
the US and Canada.
The deal also includes a non-exclusive licence covering the use of
Stanelco''s RF technology in thermoforming and other packaging technologies.
Under the terms, Reiser is targeting a minimum of 120 new or converted
machines using Stanelco''s technology during the first 12 months of the full
agreement.
An annual licence fee will be agreed for each machine. In addition, Stanelco
and Reiser will be working together to develop the technology into newly
designed equipment.

I too work in the packaging industry as a Technical Sales Manager for a large packaging Company. There is much excitement regarding the technology for sealing lidding material using Radio Waves, the development could see a massive saving on sealing webs for packers. I already have a substantial number of shares but will be buying more. The Bio-Progress case should have no bearing on share performance if Stanelco loses but will be an added bonus if they win.
