RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Mornin ALL

morninFred lol

:o)))

pachandl - 14 Feb 2005 10:31 - 2101 of 2406

Strange to see the price move 1.25p when there is relatively little volume. Is there a secret buyer or are MMs simply trapping the unwary retail investor in the run up to results?

Fundamentalist - 14 Feb 2005 11:58 - 2102 of 2406

900K O trade appears to be a sell - could they be filling a buy order hence the rise??? Be nice to see a large T trade later

pachandl - 14 Feb 2005 13:06 - 2103 of 2406

Fund - totally agree. Current thinking is that it is a sell (unless it has taken since 8.00 to fill - a bit unlikely). My hope is that we see a T Trade at 4.00 onwards. I certainly do not weant to see GS offloading!

Douggie - 14 Feb 2005 16:53 - 2104 of 2406

We got two T trades but didn't stop a fall back ..still 0.5p better n nowt..mabe blue again tommrrer as has been said often slowy surely upwards ok.

I love the spikes UP but hate the dips DOWN that follow xfinger 40p by 1st. X

pachandl - 15 Feb 2005 10:20 - 2105 of 2406

Very low volume so far - I would expect a drop of 0.5p in the sp if this continues today.

overgrowth - 15 Feb 2005 21:25 - 2106 of 2406

pachandl,

No surprise to see RTD level at the bell.

Don't forget that RTD have moved on - they're no longer a penny share where the price zooms up and down on low volume.

Performance of the Nas will have the most impact on RTD's sp in the future.

pachandl - 16 Feb 2005 09:28 - 2107 of 2406

O/G - still surprised that we held steady but it suggests that we may be consolidating for the moment with a possible push forwards as results' day beckons. Here's hoping!

pachandl - 16 Feb 2005 10:06 - 2108 of 2406

Oops, spoke too soon. Very few want to buy at present (although 35.7p+ trades are all buys) - anyone heard of any bad news? From now on I will keep my mouth shut when I feel a prediction coming on.

Douggie - 16 Feb 2005 10:20 - 2109 of 2406

Begining to look to me like a rerun of last year at this time great excitment in belief of sp gain up results collapsed into big fallback, I do hope I am wrong, but there has been no progress since entry into TM100 .. ;-/

pachandl - 16 Feb 2005 11:49 - 2110 of 2406

I always thought that the actual day for T100 entry was a side-show as most fund managers/trackers had already bought in anticipation of entry. Not that this helps us now.

Fred1new - 16 Feb 2005 16:34 - 2111 of 2406

Douggie you needn't worry. end of the days ballance Buys up and through the afternoon small sized sells and bigger buys. I think up a penny to-morrow, down a penny Friday.

Douggie - 16 Feb 2005 17:19 - 2112 of 2406

Fundamentalist - 16 Feb 2005 17:41 - 2114 of 2406

Fred1new - 16 Feb 2005 18:34 - 2115 of 2406

Douggie congratulations, what is it like at your age?

And behaving younger.

1982roy - 16 Feb 2005 19:22 - 2116 of 2406

wrinkled, shrivled and pointing down I would imagine

pachandl - 16 Feb 2005 20:28 - 2117 of 2406

Douggie - happy birthday. Let's hope RTD gives you a belated birthday present -preferably before 16.02.06. I notice that on ADV there is an ongoing discussion about whether the rns is actually saying that Barclays have bought or sold. I think it depends upon whether Barclays stockbrokers is the same as Barclays nominee accounts - I don't believe they are.

Fundamentalist - 16 Feb 2005 22:24 - 2118 of 2406

Pach

its very simple - the 2 are separate entities.

The holding under barclays stockbrokers is the same as the holdings by waterhouse, comdirect etc - they are the shares held on behalf of their retail clients - ie you, me, douggie etc

todays rns relates to barclays as an institutional investor - completely separate and a large chunk of it is likely to be their tracker funds

pachandl - 17 Feb 2005 09:21 - 2119 of 2406

Fund - yes, I agree it is very simple which is why I posted as much on ADV yesterday evening. Strange how some people refuse to accept the obvious. Cheers.
