QuikTrak Networks Plc

Interim Results

For the six month period ended 30 June 2004

The first six months of this financial year have presented the Company with some
major challenges.

Following the commercialisation of the M25 Network in late 2003, the Company
found that the market demand for a network limited to within the M25 was
incompatible with the operating costs being incurred, in particular the level of
spectrum fees being paid, which were for a national UK telecommunications
licence. Given the intense competition in the sector and the variety of
technologies on offer, it is now clear that a fundamental component of a
successful business plan is the ability to offer UK national coverage. The
establishment of such a network for QuikTrak would require a significant amount
of capital and we have to date not been successful in securing these funds,
despite sustained efforts.

Following a review of the costs incurred in operating the M25 Network, the Board
resolved it was not in shareholders' interests to continue to do so. As a
result, the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, QuikTrak Telecommunications (UK)
Ltd (QTT), was placed into administration on 23 August 2004. The ability of
QuikTrak Networks plc to pursue its broader objectives is not impacted by this
decision.

During the six month period, the Company generated revenue of 157,002 (2003 :
26,025). The loss for the period was 2,589,940, which includes writing off
the value of the net assets in QTT to nil (2003 : loss of 1,471,848).
Included in the consolidated balance sheet at 30 June 2004 are assets of QTT
amounting to 1,142,642, offset by liabilities of QTT of the same amount.

The Company has refocused its operations in order to enable it to exploit the
Intellectual Property Rights of the technology and its unique software in
Europe, the Middle East and the countries of the former USSR through network
sales and licensing arrangements. In order to be able to demonstrate the
technology, the Company has negotiated the right to use a QuikTrak network
currently operating in Australia, at a substantially lower cost than the
operating costs of the M25 network.

In July 2004, the Company raised new equity of 800,202 (net of costs) to
finance this revised strategy.

Progress continues to be made in selling a licence agreement to a prospective
operator in the United Arab Emirates. This is the first example of QuikTrak
utilising the Intellectual Property ownership of its system and is intended to
act as a blueprint for all future licensing deals in Europe, the Middle East and
the countries of the former USSR. Licensing deals are expected to provide a
revenue stream through consultancy fees for preliminary investigations,
technical planning, acquisition of base-stations and software, as well as
through monthly technology, licence and technical support fees per base-station
and transponder deployed.

QuikTrak's secure, accurate and reliable tracking technology has been well
received by the market for a wide range of applications and I remain confident
that with our new approach based on licensing and partnerships we have a solid
base for re-building shareholder value.

Hi all, I don't normally post much, but it looks like there is a lot of bitterness shown towards any post SueHelen puts up. It appears that you like myself have lost on shares previously brought to everyone's attention by SueHelen. BUT you cannot blame him/her for your losses. As always pointed out DYOR & make up your own mind. By all means share any negative thoughts you have on the post & leave it that for people to read & make up their mind whether to follow it up or not. As for me I think this person does bring a lot of information to the posts whether its all hers/his or not. There seems to be a lot of talk of ramping, I am only a novice at this, but can one person really make a difference??

Re : Size of trades that are delayed in reporting by 1 hour has increased to 25,000 now today I believe. Three weeks ago it was 10,000 shares and now it has increased to 25,000 shares in that trades over 25,000 shares are delayed in reporting by 1 hour. I believe the normal market size increased to 25,000 today as the first trade for approx. 23,000 shares was reported straightaway at a time of around 8.10am. This is good.

QUIKTRAK SECURES MAJOR ORDER FROM ADDISON LEE

QuikTrak Networks plc (Ticker "QTR"), the secure tracking and data messaging
network operator, announces a private placement on the 28th January whereby the
Company raised #1.5 M through placing 12.5 million new ordinary 1p shares at 12p
per share. The total number of shares in issue is now 59,639,727. Of this
amount, #198,000 was subscribed by the Directors of the Company.

In addition, QuikTrak announces that Addison Lee, London's largest courier
service, has placed a significant order for 800 tracking units.

Specifically, the order is for the QT6050, a covert, secure and reliable
tracking device for use in cars and vans. The QuikTrak technology will be used
to locate and track Addison Lee vehicles. Using the QuikTrak network, the
company will be able to constantly pinpoint the location of its vehicles and
allocate jobs more efficiently.

Chris Kyriakou, CEO of QuikTrak commented:

"Following successful trials of our technology by Addison Lee, I am very pleased
to announce this order, which has been agreed for an initial period of five
years. This is the beginning of a partnership which will enable us to grow our
respective businesses together, both technically and commercially. The
technology will allow Addison Lee to track all vehicles simultaneously, and, as
part of the long-term commitment, all future Addison Lee vehicles will be fitted
with the QuikTrak system."

John Griffin, Chairman of Addison Lee added:

"Addison Lee is the market leader in moving people and parcels in London. We are
delighted to be the first company in our sector in the UK formally to adopt
QuikTrak, using their dedicated spread-spectrum radio network to locate and
handle communications. This enables us to keep track of our vehicles at all
times and retrace data. To date, any other tracking solution we have assessed
has proved just too expensive, without the performance. We have been able to
implement QuikTrak at a fraction of the cost."

RELIANCE TO ADOPT QUIKTRAK TECHNOLOGY FOR MASS MONITORING SOLUTIONS

Reliance Monitoring Services to use QuikTrak technology to monitor and locate
assets and people quickly and accurately wherever they are - in or outdoors

London, 20 February 2004 - QuikTrak Networks plc (Ticker "QTR"), the secure
tracking and data messaging network operator, today announced that Reliance
Monitoring Services, a leading provider of electronic protection and monitoring
services, has selected QuikTrak as a network technology partner for monitoring
high value assets, goods movement and people.

QuikTrak will be used in applications such as providing operational support to
remote workers functioning in sensitive or hazardous environments, through the
use of the QuikTrak Personal Transponder. The device has a panic button which,
when activated, relays an alarm silently to the monitoring facility, displaying
the exact location of the unit.

In addition, the unit carried by the worker has a two-way confirmed short
message capability that enables reliable and inexpensive communication. The
monitoring service is also able to instantly identify the nearest colleague or
resource required to support the worker and can maintain a record of the
worker's total activity whilst on duty.

Another application for the same technology is monitoring the movement of
people, goods and resources, particularly in locations where satellite and
communication technologies can interfere with the core business operations such
as air traffic control at airports.

Tom Riall, Managing Director, Reliance said, "The QuikTrak technology will
enable us to take a huge step in being able to provide a complete solution to
mass transit operations, particularly when used in conjunction with our newly
developed biometric solutions. Unlike other technologies that have to stay
within range of a base station or within line of sight of a satellite, the
QuikTrak network can accurately manage multiple subject location wherever they
are, at any time."

Chris Kyriakou, CEO of QuikTrak Networks plc commented, "For the first time in
the UK, Reliance will be able to exactly locate high value assets, goods in
transit or remote workers, from its monitoring centre, irrespective of
geography, in seconds." He continued, "We are delighted that Reliance has
selected us as a partner going forward."

QUIKTRAK APPOINTS REGENT ASSOCIATES

London, 15 March 2004 - QuikTrak Networks plc (Ticker "QTR"), the secure
tracking and data messaging network operator, today announced that its has
appointed Regent Associates, a corporate finance company specialising in the
technology sector, to secure a strategic partner for QuikTrak to roll-out of the
network across the rest of the UK.

The appointment follows the considerable demand from the marketplace to extend
QuikTrak's secure and reliable tracking technology nationally. The intention is
to achieve coverage for 90% of the UK population and to launch a network in the
Netherlands - where a spectrum licence is already held - to take advantage of
signed contracts with the Dutch police, amongst others.

Phase I of the QuikTrak network was launched in September 2003 and covers the
Greater London and M25 area. Since the launch the Company has secured a number
of important contracts and commercial partnerships with companies such as
Addison Lee, Reliance Monitoring Services, Premier Geografix and Motrak (UK)
Limited and organisations such as the Metropolitan Police and the Elmbridge
Housing Trust.

Chris Kyriakou, CEO of QuikTrak Networks plc commented: "The demand for the
QuikTrak technology and its diverse applications is proven. What is essential
now is to roll-out the network as quickly as possible to cover a larger
geographic area in order to fulfil the demand from the market for a nationwide
secure and reliable national tracking and data messaging network. We are
confident of securing the right partner within a very short period of time."

QuikTrak sign deal with Premier Geografix
to develop criminal justice tagging device

London, 17 March 2004 - QuikTrak Networks plc (Ticker "QTR"), the secure
tracking and data messaging network operator, today announced that Premier
Geografix Limited ("PGL"), a leading provider of electronic monitoring
technology, will undertake a development programme for a custodial monitoring
application using the QuikTrak technology. The partnership will develop a new
device that will enhance the way curfewees are monitored within the community.

Curfew orders are enforced using electronic monitoring technology and allow
prisoners serving between three monthsand four years to be eligible to spend
the last part of their custodial sentence on a home detention curfew (HDC),
subject to a risk assessment.

Curfewees are tagged with a monitoring device, generally attached around their
ankle, for between twoweeks and two months depending upon the length of their
sentence and monitored for a duration of at least nine hours a day. Over 16,000
prisoners were placed on HDC during the first year of tagging operations in
1999.

It is expected the resulting technology from the QuikTrak/Premier venture will
be applied across a variety of applications, including tagging existing
curfewees, those on bail, as well as an alternative to custodial sentences,
particularly where young people are concerned.

Chris Kyriakou, CEO of QuikTrak Networks plc commented:

"This is another example of the diversity of the QuikTrak technology and the
potential for commercial applications. Premier Geografix is a key player in the
custodial monitoring market witha successful track record in Home Office
electronic monitoring contracts. This is a potentially large market as the Home
Office seeks to further develop its tagging applications."

QuikTrak Tracking Technology - Fighting Terrorism

London, 19 April 2004 - QuikTrak Networks plc (AIM: "QTR"), the secure tracking
and data messaging network operator is playing a part in the ongoing fight
against terrorism through its technology partner Sonic Communications (Int) Ltd
and its development of the QT Aegis, a small portable tracking device.

The QT Aegis is part of a wide range of products specifically designed for
emergency service agencies, armed forces and crime intelligence agencies
worldwide. The QT Aegis is fitted with a personal duress button that can be worn
on a belt or carried in a pocket. Sonic is a leader in specialist audio and
video communications technology and works closely with the UK's police forces
providing custom-built leading edge solutions and equipment, helping to make
them one of the safest and most efficient forces in Europe.

David Bryan, Managing Director, of Sonic Communications commented,

"Few countries in the world have not suffered from terrorist violence over the
past three decades. Domestic and international terrorism is now at the top of
the agenda for most nations. The QuikTrak technology greatly assists police
forces and intelligence agencies to prevent and combat threats to personal
safety. Tracking for protection is the only way to ensure the safety of those
who put their lives at risk for the public, whether it be police, military or
humanitarian effort. We are very excited to be able to add this product to the
range for our existing clients."

Guido van Alphen, COO of QuikTrak added,

"For every employer, there is a duty of care and it is perhaps fitting that the
police and armed forces are the first to implement such a device for protection
and monitoring of their personnel. In Australia, the police have been using the
technology for more than seven years for VIP, royal and police protection, as
well as in crime scenarios. The most famous case was that of the serial killer,
John Glover, who was eventually arrested by police who used a QuikTrak device
covertly installed within his vehicle. We fully expect that as we extend the
coverage area of the network across the country, many other police forces will
want to use our technology in a multitude of ways."

QuikTrak uses advanced spread-spectrum radio technology and is not reliant on
any third party. This means it can provide low cost, highly secure tracking and
data communication for its users via a small portable transponder fitted into a
case of any size.

UPDATE ON ACTIVITIES IN THE UAE AND KUWAIT
PLACING OF NEW ORDINARY SHARES

London, 25 June 2004 - Further to QuikTrak Networks plc's announcement on 17
June 2004, the Company is continuing to progress its strategy aimed at securing
licence agreements with QuikTrak Network prospective operators in its territory
(comprising Europe, the Middle East and countries of the former USSR).

The Company has been in ongoing commercial negotiations in the UAE over the past
eight months which have now led to an agreement with a major corporation based
in Abu Dhabi for the potential deployment of a QuikTrak Network in the region,
through a Technology Licence.

This process will initially involve the establishment of a local network
operating company by our UAE partner, the application by them for grant of a
Spectrum Licence for the region and preparation of the business plan to include
propagation studies to establish the number of base stations required for the
planned coverage area. It is expected that the Company will be contracted to
assist in these tasks. A third party will be contracted by the UAE partner to
provide roll-out services, whilst the Company expects to generate ongoing
revenue through its licence model and from the provision of technology support
services.

In addition to the UAE opportunity, the Company has entered into a Memorandum of
Understanding with a Kuwait based investment company, which has led to the
lodging by them of an application for a Spectrum Licence for that region. Both
parties expect the licence to be granted within one year, during which time the
parties will continue to negotiate terms for the Technology Licence.

Both opportunities demonstrate the market demand for QuikTrak's secure tracking
technology in the area of security related applications and the potential of the
revised strategy recently adopted by the Company.

QUIKTRAK NETWORKS PLC

RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2003

CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT

The two years since the incorporation of the company has been a period of
extreme contrasts and overall has been a time of difficulty.

The company was formed for the purpose of commercialising QuikTrak's unique
secure tracking technology in the UK and elsewhere. On formation, the company:

* secured the UK licence for the QuikTrak Technology from QuikTrak Networks
Ltd of Australia, which at the time was the company's parent.
* acquired the UK radiocommunications licence to operate QuikTrak in the UK
and then established a network within and around the M25 (the
"M25 Network").

In April 2003, the company demerged from QuikTrak Networks Ltd of Australia and
acquired the full intellectual property rights for the QuikTrak Technology for
Europe, the Middle East and the countries of the former USSR (the "Territory").
It also acquired the radiocommunications licence to operate QuikTrak in the
Netherlands.

Shortly after formation, the company's securities were admitted for trading on
OFEX and in August 2003, the company's securities were admitted for trading on
the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investments Market (AIM).

THE COMPANY DEMERGED FROM QUIKTRAK NETWORKS LTD OF AUSTRALIA IN APRIL 2003. THE COMPANY HAS GOT THE FULL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS.

Keep smiling

Hi Riviera, the best prices of the day were 1.65-2.12 pence, so anything at 1.65 or below was a sell and anything at 2.12 or above was a buy.

Today :

BUYS = 198,451
SELLS = 110,000.

Buys outweighed Sells nearly by a ratio of 2:1.

glad to see things are looking up, but we will need alot of good news to push this share back up. Am I right in thinking that the contracts posted above will help the next finacial statement?

What sort of cash does QTR make on one of these deals?

What sort of thing are we looking at to get QTR out of trouble (i.e low stock price)?

Apart from re-location, re-financing & a new business plan, what are the management doing to increase business and lower admin expenses?

the above are the questions we should be asking ourselves & management?

anyone with information on these, please post it as I'm sure we'd all love to read it

some positive RNSnews wouldn't hurt either!!!

Sue - I see that you have restarted the ramp.

Once again your observations about trade reporting delays are nonsense:

SueHelen - 19 Jul'04 - 22:28 - 214 of 219

Re : Size of trades that are delayed in reporting by 1 hour has increased to 25,000 now today I believe. Three weeks ago it was 10,000 shares and now it has increased to 25,000 shares in that trades over 25,000 shares are delayed in reporting by 1 hour. I believe the normal market size increased to 25,000 today as the first trade for approx. 23,000 shares was reported straightaway at a time of around 8.10am. This is good.

NMS is now 5000(increased from 3000)
Trades over 30K are delayed by one hour
The NMS is basically what its name suggests: "Normal Market Size". It is adjusted periodically by the LSE in relation to trading volume.

I would disagree with your comment about QNL entering administration and say that the Australian parent going in to administration is very relevant, as the UK operation were operating in a similar fashion up until very recently, implying that the UK operation was also heading for administration.
IMO the recent placing is simply a last ditch attempt to salvage something from what looks like a reasonable technology that appears to be impossible to operate on a commercial basis. The majority of these new contracts are worth squat IMO, as the technology needs a large positional network to operate.

You have also failed to observe that the company continued its current strategy for several months after year end, presumably continuing to generate large losses. It is therefore silly to suggest that a line was drawn at year end, with recent contracts meaning the next results will be rosy.

With all this in the news about increased criminal tagging for Low priority offenders arent QuickTrak involved in this?

If not, anything on the cards for the future, as a goverment contract is just what they need

"Indeed, we were pursuing this application for QuikTrak with some
success"

things may start to look up soon, as Blair's campaign gets more press and if QTR can manage to get a slice of the action

Hi Tokyo...the results which were announced were up to the period 31 December 2003. Much more good news has been released this year starting from January 2004 which can be found on their website at :

http://www.quiktrak.co.uk/

Tokyo - 27 Jul 2004 05:36 - 227 of 702

Thanks Sue Helen - I saw those contracts, etc, before I decided to jump into this stock, but when did they adopt their new business plan, was it from the beginning of this year or only recently?
Will these contracts really boost their results in december, if they hadn't implimented the new plan until recently?

We really need some more rns news to push this stock price up and into a decent trading spread, as I feel the huge spread keeps most investors away

dell314 - 27 Jul 2004 12:02 - 228 of 702

Tokyo - As you are suggesting, I think it is fair to assume that QTR carried on making considerable losses for a few months after the December year end.

As there is no publically available information on the size of the new contracts and with the company's history of hyped self-publicity, it is probably wise to guess that they don't amount to that much.
They will still have significant ongoing costs IMO and placing cash doesn't even cover short term creditors from the last results.

The crux here is surely the lack of a commercially viable network.
I can't imagine for one minute that QTR will win a prisoner tagging contract, as suggested earlier here.
I can imagine their tender: "Yes, we can accurately track your prisoners, as long as they stay within our reduced limited M25 network".
Marvellous!!

Unless, QTR can talk a venture partner into making a huge investment in a countrywide network, I can't really see much commercial future for the product.

they don't need a contract, as they supply the tagging machines to the company that already hold the contracts for 72% of the U.K., as stated in the march 15th contract news on their website

Supplying a few tags won't turn the company round , be better off trying to get the CEO to take a 90% pay cut and enrol himself on a management course , imo.
