At 7am yesterday, there was a positive reaction for GBP against the EUR because of the Nationwide House Price Survey. You then had weaker than expected French Business Confidence. The result was that, by the time that I was looking to enter the market, Cable was still looking bullish but EUR/USD was looking decidely bearish.

Looking to short USD again this am, but not just yet. Oil off $1 though.

Looks quiet at the moment. I am off for a shower, hopefully the dollar will mark time till I return in 20 mins or so.

Migraine much better thanks, Bob. I get one once every 2 or 3 years, I suppose ...... starts with an inabilty to focus on anything, which lasts for about 20 minutes, followed by a stonking headache for 3 or 4 hours

Know the feeling - I can go for ages then all of a sudden - bang. For me, when I get them they come in 3s - so I probably get the second and third about the same each day for 3 days - only thing to do is lie down in a darkened room after taking Migraleve. Mine are relatively minor compared with some people I know who are violently sick etc. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Second foray into the GBPUSD - short from 19153 19147 and 19139

I missed my window.. Turned 125 down.. Gunna take a long with a tight stop now. But looks like ive mised it.. Long 164

Trying to fight it - short some more @ 19175

Wow, up and away half an hour or so ago.Any good trigger for that?
I might think about a short /$ but wary?

Cable short @ 68 closed@ 57. Long @ 59 trailed stop up to 59 and now closed flat. Will Long again when trend resumes.

cable & euro diverged. Will cable drop or euro recover?

I dont know which way to trade cable so am reverting to basic strategy and going to play golf

That divergence is certainly making it tricky this morning. Golf sounds attractive and I don't even play it.
