I'd reserve judgement if I were you until you've done some
taste testing Opto! LOL

optomistic - 17 Dec 2004 15:39 - 21114 of 23498

Should I play safe and test one product at a time?

This_is_me - 17 Dec 2004 15:47 - 21115 of 23498

The mince pies are terrific, but we need custard and extra thick double cream.

I am fed up with all the red drinks - something blue please. Maybe the colour will rub off on my portfolio!

Blue bulbs on the Fairy lights please.

stockbunny - 17 Dec 2004 15:49 - 21116 of 23498

Blue bulbs coming up and I can always pop a squirt of blue
food colouring into your glass T-I-M - there you go! A pretty
shade of bluebell!!! :>)

Now then Opto - be brave LOL!

jj50 - 17 Dec 2004 16:33 - 21117 of 23498

Off to make dinner now, thanks for your constant efforts in looking after our virtual culinary needs Bunny. Have a nice weekend all.

Socrates - 17 Dec 2004 16:57 - 21122 of 23498

Whoopee, Socco is on his hols. Break out the VC, it's celebration time.

little willie
Cheltenham has changed quite a bit. Cavendish house is still there, part of House of Fraser Group (HOF), even more up market now, posh frocks etc. The Chinkie has gone, 'talian now amongst others. The posh frock shop, Madame something or other, sold out and is new a less exclusive emporium, still frocks & handbags. The shop front is listed so they could not 'modernise' it into banality like so many other places.

stockbunny - 17 Dec 2004 16:58 - 21123 of 23498

Ok one and all I'm off now, have a great evening and
Hello Socs! :>) Trifle in the fridge for you!

jeffmack - 17 Dec 2004 17:06 - 21124 of 23498

Party tonight so I'm going to get poshed up in a minute

little willie - 17 Dec 2004 17:15 - 21125 of 23498

Yo Socs, way of the world and its called 'progress'...lol
Charlie Irving was the blags name who I couldn't remember; I think one of my old pals who's still local up there said he fell off the perch some years ago.
Good riddance as politics stopped half of what he'd been upto being published.
Anyway, happy holiday dear boy!

Chocs...no reaction from 'the caff' but I thought your Nativety Scene was funny, made me chuckle even tho' I didn't understand it all.
Suppose we could always ask DD for a translation [or even Jessie!].

Fingers got burnt today with PRM ouch! Glad I no longer held AZN otherwise it would have been a double-wammy. Buyers hat on next week methinks.

little willie - 17 Dec 2004 17:17 - 21126 of 23498

Jessie, poshed up in a minute? Obviously not taking the wife then.
Whats the dress code? Levy's & T's

Socrates - 17 Dec 2004 17:32 - 21129 of 23498

Chocs
I understood the bit about there being no room in the Inn, but they are always full at Christmas, aren't they?

Anyone want to share some VC trifle?

chocolat - 17 Dec 2004 17:37 - 21130 of 23498

Funny that, innit Socks?

Oh yes, trifle - lots please! it's FRIDAY!

little willie - 17 Dec 2004 18:04 - 21131 of 23498

Yea, could do with more than a thunderstorm. We need rain, rain, rain and its getting serious. A weeks steady downpour would p*** of the tourists but the reservoirs would go...aahhh, yummmyy, yuummmyyyy.

We've had water restrictions, only on gardens etc for two months; houses with odd no's can water mon, wed, fri..even no's tues, thurs, sat.
Day of rest for everyone Sun but you can top up your pool after the evaporation factor!! Only in SA would they have thjat rule.

S'pose if it gets worse we could fill the pool with trifle!

Chocs..whats special abart Fri, its only another day in paradise.
My golf was good this morning, even if I say so myself..took the money!!

MightyMicro - 17 Dec 2004 18:29 - 21132 of 23498

Socs -- it's a while since I've been in Cheltenham -- for years I used to be a very regular visitor to a certain Government establishment with lots of antennas around those parts.

Sounds like it's all changed a bit in the last few years -- is the traffic still as bad? Legend had it that in the event of imminent nuclear attack, some persons were supposed to be sent from said establishment to a bunker in the hills (on motorbikes). As they would have a relatively few minutes, we used to wonder how they'd get through the traffic in the alloted time . . .
