I understood the bit about there being no room in the Inn, but they are always full at Christmas, aren't they?
Anyone want to share some VC trifle?

Yea, could do with more than a thunderstorm. We need rain, rain, rain and its getting serious. A weeks steady downpour would p*** of the tourists but the reservoirs would go...aahhh, yummmyy, yuummmyyyy.
We've had water restrictions, only on gardens etc for two months; houses with odd no's can water mon, wed, fri..even no's tues, thurs, sat.
Day of rest for everyone Sun but you can top up your pool after the evaporation factor!! Only in SA would they have thjat rule.
S'pose if it gets worse we could fill the pool with trifle!
Chocs..whats special abart Fri, its only another day in paradise.
My golf was good this morning, even if I say so myself..took the money!!

That certain govenment establishment is still very much in evidence and they have a nice new building known locally as "The Doughnut". I'm afraid that "those persons" would not have made it to the hills, and even if they had it would have been pointless. I saw or read somewhere fairly recently that the reds had two warheads targetted on said establishment of 15 Megatons each. One would have wiped out Gloucestershire, the second would merely have made the hole a bit deeper.
Enough of such historical irrelevances, I need to partake of some more sherry trifle. A glass of vintage port would not go amiss. I wonder if little willie has thought of emptying his swimming pool and making a huge sherry trifle in it?

Morning Socs and all, lovely day here in Norfolk, sunny and bright but a bit cold. Fairly quiet day for me, but looking forward to an extended family meal the the Wymondham Indian this evening.
