TMC REACHING 20 SHAREHOLDERS CELEBRATION PARTY. (TMC)

oilyrag - 06 Jun 2007 14:58

I have created this new thread so that anyone who is interested in attending a celebration lunch, day out, whatever to celebrate TMC's share price reaching 20, can register their interest and voice an opinion on what they would like to do.

When,.......Obviously timing is not yet known.

Where,......Somewhere pretty central to most posters.

Who,.........Is it just investors, or do we include other halves.

What,........Theme park, slap up lunch, piss up.

Any ideas, put them forward on this thread and we can all openly discuss options and formulate a day of celebration.

Cornwall a beautiful place, will be there in June (Crantock) I may be interested in your place soon though so website noted. ;-)

wakey wakey rns out. This now clearly a waiting game to a takeover and I think it could become a bid battle given ENK have 20% @ 200p. I think this could go for 100p given its very low market cap - chicken feed money for a big player who can sit on Tmc's massive reserves and wait for recovery in Nickel.

cynic - 07 Apr 2009 12:07 - 214 of 491

everything's a bit glum today, but note that TMC's price hit 200 dma and got slightly giddy

kate bates - 07 Apr 2009 12:19 - 215 of 491

How many more can Daintree buy before they have to make a formal bid?

moneyplus - 07 Apr 2009 12:43 - 216 of 491

I'm in for a few now--have a good feeling we're on a winner now! Kate crantock is the other side of the pentire headland so very close--perhaps we could meet up June is considered the best month in Cornwall!

kate bates - 07 Apr 2009 15:11 - 217 of 491

possible mp.

Think this bid is just about upon us and have very very good feeling (nudge nudge wink wink) there'll be some happy bunnies around.

cynic - 07 Apr 2009 15:18 - 218 of 491

certainly a very sharp performance against the prevailing wind

kate bates - 07 Apr 2009 18:29 - 219 of 491

I think we'll see a bid next few days, how much???

cynic - 07 Apr 2009 18:40 - 220 of 491

certainly IG's book has reached its limit, and is only open for closing deals

kate bates - 08 Apr 2009 07:47 - 221 of 491

can find nothing on 'Daintree Resources' so looks obvious they have been set up to buy Toledo. Interesting point from another forum is the fact they've bought nearly 20% of TMC in the market but why not try and buy ENK's 20% ?? Presume ENK want plenty more than market price. The quicker this rises the quicker Daintree will be forced to launch a bid, don't sell your shares!! Squeeze this up!!

kate bates - 08 Apr 2009 08:20 - 222 of 491

!!!!!!!!

Balerboy - 08 Apr 2009 08:36 - 223 of 491

Cynic, reckon you need to buy Kate a large glass of red wine on this one!!

cynic - 08 Apr 2009 08:43 - 224 of 491

DON'T EVEN GO THERE!!!!
Sold my original stake at a decent profit a few days.
Bit short of funds late yesterday and close to close, so held off.
Tried to deal this morning at <40 but message came up "closing deal only", but this was apparently an error.
By the time IG had unscrambled it, price had moved to 44.5.
Anyway, have bought some even at this inflated price and hope i have not been extremely foolish

dealerdear - 08 Apr 2009 09:17 - 225 of 491

One should always not try to buy at the top cynic.

You may win but are far more likely to lose. Doesn't sound like your usual strategy.

cynic - 08 Apr 2009 09:24 - 226 of 491

it's not, though of course vone does not know where the top is ...... there is also the valid argument that momentum creates momentum (or similar)

dealerdear - 08 Apr 2009 09:29 - 227 of 491

True but 8-40p is one hell of a rise and not one to ride from there i would have thought.

cynic - 08 Apr 2009 09:37 - 228 of 491

somewhat to rationalise, the real impetus came when sp surged through 200 dma at about 32p ...... see 2 months chart below

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=TMC&Si

dealerdear - 08 Apr 2009 09:43 - 229 of 491

Tis interesting that a few minutes ago I could only get an offer price for a max of 300 from Selftrade but now can buy a lot more. Not sure what that is saying but it gives a warning sign to me although the sp is now rising again.

cynic - 08 Apr 2009 10:18 - 230 of 491

i haven't checked L2, but usually buying 5/10,000 is no prob as from memory there are about 5 MMs

kate bates - 08 Apr 2009 11:18 - 231 of 491

I've stopped watching and tucked these away. I'm moving on less Katie may be tempted to take that rather large profit staring at her!
