Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

you'll need plenty of acidity then to clear out some of the chloresterol ...... fish on a monday?? ..... if not frozen, the assuredly old w/e stock ..... either way, a bad choice
more seriously, there was a very interesting article in ST re skrei (norwegian cod) which is thriving strongly ..... clearly they keep the greedy eu and russian boats out of their waters, which how proper conservation policies can be made to work
and totally ridiculous .....
sustainable pollack (don't care for it actually) is more expensive than "threatened" cod and haddock ...... and local waitrose had a "special offer" last week on cod, making it cheaper still

Sometings never change!
The great supermarket fish scam: Shoppers 'are being duped into buying mislabelled species'
Shoppers are being duped by major supermarkets into buying portions of fish that contain other, much cheaper species, it has been claimed.
A total of 400 fish dishes bought from Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose and Lidl were DNA tested as part of a new study.
And the analysis of the tests revealed that 23 portions – six per cent - contained species of fish not even mentioned on the label.

Some don't have such a superior, or sophisticated palate, as Cynic suggests he himself has.
I suppose that is the reason that it makes it difficult to swallow many of his claims.

may the fish bones stick in your throat fred ..... nothing whatsoever to do with sophisticated palate ..... i make no secret that i dislike supermarkets for all sorts of reasons, and unquestionably, really fresh fish is in a different league from the supermarket stuff as is properly hung and butchered lamb and beef ..... and the same applies to our locally reared pork ......
your argument is akin to claiming that a macdonald's burger is as tasty as one made properly from fresh mince at home
