I am only dow watching for a bit as the dow is a brill TA practice tool. Did anyone spot the + divergence between RSI and dow on the 5 min from approx 5pm to now

zarif - 05 Aug 2004 20:52 - 2131 of 2279

I am a happy bunny today as managed to bag a total of 189 pts on the dow.

Well done zarif. Enjoy the week-end. (Dow's demise is sadly not such good news for all of us!)

Don't forget the Feds.

zarif - 06 Aug 2004 13:07 - 2134 of 2279

Afternoon all:
Data Coming out Us at 1.30pm.
Think like a crook and maybe they can turn around from yesterday is my opinion.I think we will have "pop and Drop" or Drop and pop.Watch the action and trade what you see. My outlook is to short the rallies and scalp my way.

Afternoon all:
Sea of red today on the European bourses and Ftse.
So what are we going to do on the Ym today?
I think my views is Gap Up (or Down) open and then head lowe till around 12am Est and rally up towards close 9could be the other way round). This is my view and it can change with the wind.
Snp probably going to play Ball from -3 to +3 (maybe +5) level.
good luck trade what the market is doing. Also the Big decision fron greenbum tomorrow.

Afternoon zarif. Just checking if any cheer here. Thanks

Eric the King - 09 Aug 2004 22:37 - 2137 of 2279

apologies if this has already been talked about but does anyone use a good end of day charting package for us stocks. my trading technique doesn't require thousands of different indicators or a live feed so a simple package or web site would do the trick. A scroll through function of a set list of stocks, similar to sharescope's, would be really handy. thanks in advance.

snoball - 10 Aug 2004 00:08 - 2138 of 2279

Eric, try stockcharts.com.
Not only does it have the usual US stocks but also the Indeces plus some indicators of their own devising like the Bullish Percent link here. A very useful site. It's free too.

snoball - 10 Aug 2004 22:55 - 2139 of 2279

wake up you lot!

zarif - 11 Aug 2004 10:49 - 2140 of 2279

Morning all:
Snoball -u r right in your post - WAKE UP EVERYBODY - and keep posting (that includes me aswell!!!!
Was yesterday a one day wonder i wonder?
The volume was really thin and they can move it around to manipulation very easily.
Trade wisely and safely.

A short at yesterdays close, with a tight stop might be a trade worth trying today. If one should be so inclined.

zarif - 11 Aug 2004 14:14 - 2142 of 2279

Afternoon all:
The YAnkee market (call it the casino0 going to open in 18mins.
My view is that we will get a pop up and drop.
Also to watch that if we dont get a reversal rally up after 16.00gmt than the odds are that it will drift lower all day -But as usual my strategy can be blown out by the wind. Nag .Dyor.

Baughfell - 11 Aug 2004 21:55 - 2145 of 2279

Hi guys, I had a good long on Monday that I opened late Friday. Stayed out yesterday and today. Whats your take on tomorrow, modest fall IMHO. Any of you trade on the price of oil - time to go short?
