Another lovely sunny day where I am.... The barman is making me a 'kir surprise!' and then off to the most gorgeous spa for an afternoon of pampering.....

Anyone ever tried champagne and malibu before???!

Socrates - 22 Dec 2004 10:44 - 21263 of 23498

Priscilla
Yes, but only as a windscreen washer fluid.

little willie - 22 Dec 2004 11:07 - 21264 of 23498

Jeffmack was doing east/west relations a lot of good in Basildon, but why?
I knew a lot of them settled in Swindon after the war, bloody good pilots so I was told, Polish guys that is.

Hils is getting mixed up with a load of monkeys but they didn't fly 'cos they were making the battle plans to defend Coventry.

Cilla's getting pissed on Champers mixed up with some old storks juice.

TIM..is out shopping for empty spaces which save a lot on wrapping paper and acting as mediator between car dealers and customers over defects in the new Ford Bonus?

Socs is on Tescos hydraulic brake fluid by the sound of it which should have been used as de-icer.

Just another typical day in the caff then!

Spaceman - 22 Dec 2004 11:15 - 21265 of 23498

Socs, you must be doing very well if you can afford that for wiper fluid ;-) What do you use for coolant ?!

Socrates - 22 Dec 2004 11:16 - 21266 of 23498

little willie
Hydraulic fluid is no use as washer fluid, it smears like crazy and ruins the paintwork. The best washer fluid is Vodka, never freezes due to the alcohol content. RAF guys in cold places always used it because, duty free, it was cheaper than washer fluid.

Anyone here into SVB, it's on a two month uptrend and must surely have figured in the constant riser listings?

Can anyone explain to me what a "Block Trade" is, Type K?

This_is_me - 22 Dec 2004 12:24 - 21268 of 23498

A transaction using the block trade facility.

Socrates - 22 Dec 2004 12:42 - 21269 of 23498

Question 2: What is the block trade facility?

Bullshare - 22 Dec 2004 13:31 - 21270 of 23498

Answer: it a Type K trade;-0)

Mike

PS Its a function for institutions to trade large blocks of shares or parts making up a large block. Basically if they can't shift the order in one go they will show a declare of K trades until the order is filled

snoball - 22 Dec 2004 14:16 - 21271 of 23498

Gosh, this is becoming a very useful thread for learning about the markets. :-)

Large portion of roast turkey and trimmings please. Followed by desert. Ta.

Socrates - 22 Dec 2004 14:33 - 21273 of 23498

Bullshare
Thanks, I asked because there was a 5,666,666 K trade in PTG this morning @ 8.5p. Since then the price has moved up.

optomistic - 22 Dec 2004 15:15 - 21274 of 23498

Socrates - 22 Dec 2004 15:52 - 21280 of 23498

little willie
