If the SPhere rumour is true then we can expect to see many more of these RNS notifications, all from the same company as the holding builds.

This is only the start!
The french are coming, and with a little help from others - new owners will appear-the only problem is what happens to us - we lose as usual!!
OR:
This has been done as a reminder to Stanelco that Sphere are watching VERY carefully - at least with this scenario we should be guaranteed a reasonable return.

Was wandering if Mr Geoff Ho knows about Credite Agricole`s stake in Stanelco.

Now, I'm not one for pissing on anyones fire (actually thats wrong in almost every way), but the RNS about the French holding begs a further question.
Is this brought about by the firm commitment, and if so why is there only one notified? If it is then A of R should be giving the same sort of notification. Unfortunately I do not know the rules for when a commitment becomes ownership and notification has to take place.
If it is not part of the firm commitment, then I am a happy little pixie that there is a new large backer.

One other point to consider:
I would want to see for myself that the MMf's actually work and do what they should before buying the company.
On this basis we should get 10p - what a steal knowing then that the future is virtually guaranteed.
Yes it's a little more to pay than making a deal now - but I would have actual evidence that the concepts work!!

Antofelli, more important, do SPhere know about it or are Calyon doing it off their own bat?!
ST, SPhere's website:-

Just as a BTW, chaps.
I have now e-mailed Asda twice for clarification on their statement to me that they are putting their goods in "green bin friendly" packaging from March. I simply keep asking if they mean the Asda green recycling bin or the green bin we all have at home.
They have not responded to a fairly simple question.
Read that however you wish.

Again - complete cock up by SEO RNS. If I'd known Monday 9th (not the 10th) October was the qualifying date then I could have bought more shares during the day. Since the RNS only referred (after a good deal of searching) to the 6th October as the record date I did not bother.
Bunch of a*holes, as usual.
Caylon = Cayman-London, offshore opportunisits? probably. Why not, but watch the overhang as they exit when they've made their money, at whatever level they ahve already set.
bore, pissed off, want to go home, don't want to play anymore

alan - pretty sure Caylon will have bought in the market over the last week or so. Firm placees cannot be owners yet pre-EGM.
Owning 3%+ bought at say .95p, they have the right to another 1.8% at 0.8p = 4.8% @ average 0.89375p. SP could easily double or treble within a few weeks or months after EGM. Nice money if we'd alll known we could ahve bought more on Monday!

I must say that I am concerned about the Sphere situation.
Looks like a repeat of the Bioprogress fiasco.Do the directors who run SEO(HW & IB) not learn from their past mistakes ?
I cannot see these JV's in the US being able to start until Sphere give their blessing.
From the RNS recently
"Stanelco believes that there is an implicit
obligation on SPhere to co-operate with Stanelco to pass a shareholder
resolution directing Biotec Holding GmbH to grant the appropriate licence to
Stanelco or to procure that the relevant Biotec entity does so.
There is, however, a risk that in such event SPhere will not co-operate with
Stanelco in which case Stanelco would need to refer the matter to arbitration
under the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement."
Who was responsible for the Biotec agreement ? Didn't SEO have a golden share? As I recall the reason for selling the 50% stake to Sphere was for cashflow reasons.Got them out of a hole at that time (so they could pursue Greenseal)but has now left them in the ironic position of now not being able to complete on Starpol. So what will happen?Litigation will stall progress on Starpol so its back to pushing Greenseal again.
No wonder they need all that money. Most of it will go on litigation as evidenced by the document
"- to provide further working capital for the Group to fund the next stage
of commercial development of the Group's existing and new products and to
provide the Company with funds to back up any negotiations with customers and partners."
And today we see a declaration of a notifiable share interest in SEO by
Calyon.Wonder who they are buying for?
Anyhow I hope I am wrong as I hold a sizeable number of these shares.
Rant over
