alan - pretty sure Caylon will have bought in the market over the last week or so. Firm placees cannot be owners yet pre-EGM.

Owning 3%+ bought at say .95p, they have the right to another 1.8% at 0.8p = 4.8% @ average 0.89375p. SP could easily double or treble within a few weeks or months after EGM. Nice money if we'd alll known we could ahve bought more on Monday!

Looking at L2 we could just sneak up a bit more before close. ( Thats put the mockers on it then).

I must say that I am concerned about the Sphere situation.

Looks like a repeat of the Bioprogress fiasco.Do the directors who run SEO(HW & IB) not learn from their past mistakes ?

I cannot see these JV's in the US being able to start until Sphere give their blessing.

From the RNS recently

"Stanelco believes that there is an implicit
obligation on SPhere to co-operate with Stanelco to pass a shareholder
resolution directing Biotec Holding GmbH to grant the appropriate licence to
Stanelco or to procure that the relevant Biotec entity does so.

There is, however, a risk that in such event SPhere will not co-operate with
Stanelco in which case Stanelco would need to refer the matter to arbitration
under the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement."

Who was responsible for the Biotec agreement ? Didn't SEO have a golden share? As I recall the reason for selling the 50% stake to Sphere was for cashflow reasons.Got them out of a hole at that time (so they could pursue Greenseal)but has now left them in the ironic position of now not being able to complete on Starpol. So what will happen?Litigation will stall progress on Starpol so its back to pushing Greenseal again.
No wonder they need all that money. Most of it will go on litigation as evidenced by the document

"- to provide further working capital for the Group to fund the next stage
of commercial development of the Group's existing and new products and to
provide the Company with funds to back up any negotiations with customers and partners."

And today we see a declaration of a notifiable share interest in SEO by
Calyon.Wonder who they are buying for?

Anyhow I hope I am wrong as I hold a sizeable number of these shares.

Rant over

Me, I'm confident!

Stockdog. I am not one to argue with a dog of superior knowledge but I am 99.9999% certain that it is Calyon not Caylon!

tweenie - 11 Oct 2006 17:09 - 21290 of 27111

alan, KO et al
rephrased.
Anyone still confident that offer will see us over 10p and SEO still SEO as opposed to Spherseo etc.
:-()
reasonably happy. Glad my average will be under 5p after I've parted with my hard earned money re this cash call/3-5 offer..

robinhood - 11 Oct 2006 17:16 - 21291 of 27111

HAD NOT DONE CALCULATION YET TWEENIE BUT HAD TO LAUGH ONCE I DID: 4.97P/S AVERAGE FOR ME. LET 'S HOPE FOR THE BEST AS -ALTHOUGI MADE MONEY ON SEO DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS - EVEN AT 4.97 P/S IT WAS NOT WHAT YOU CALL SMART TRADING ON MY PART

hewittalan6 - 11 Oct 2006 17:25 - 21292 of 27111

tweenie,
don't know about 10p, but my average is very comfortable, thank you.
If the bit i bought on Monday Am is allowed to be used in the offer, my average will be very low indeed.
I have been fortunate that the first big buy was years ago, and Itraded a bit during the rise and fall. Over the last few weeks I bought more as research came through and finances allowed.
Not smart, cos I did some very dumb deals, but very lucky.
Alan

maestro - 11 Oct 2006 17:38 - 21293 of 27111

my average price now .95p and with 60% extra aka IG

boldtrader - 11 Oct 2006 17:51 - 21294 of 27111

tweenie, robin, alan, like you and i would guess many more private investors who have and are averaging down, my average will be, after the take up, just under 5p.and like you robin I dont think ive been a very clever trader! maybe as my user name explains I feel more like a boldtrader! or maybe a foolish trader! But it was the only thing you could do,to have sold in these last few days would have been silly,it's now s!!t or bust, but I still have a sneaking feeling SEO will come up trumps. Good luck to all holders. cheers.

hewittalan6 - 11 Oct 2006 18:20 - 21295 of 27111

If its about screen names, i should call mself blind buffoon!!
I was actually shocked the other day when another poster asked me what my average was. I thought it was about 8p, and said as much. I went away to tot it up, which was no easy feat given the amount of times I sold a chunk to finance something else and then bought again a few days later.
With that kind of blind good luck and the courage to buy a lot more last week and Monday of this week, my average is much lower than anticipated, to the point where if I buy my alloted placements, I should be in a very good position.
Amazing, cos if I had thought about what I was doing, I'd probably have an average of about 26p!!!!

alfalfa - 11 Oct 2006 19:12 - 21296 of 27111

stockdog - I think it's a bit harsh to say that SEO have cocked up the RNS about Record Dates etc.

According to the nice chap at HL, it is standard practise in open offers to provide a Record Date for the registrar's benefit, and an Entitlement Date (known as the Ex- Date) for shareholders that is one or even 2 working days later.

In rights issues, the interval is often a little longer and of course with dividends, it works in reverse so that the Ex- Date appears first and the Record Date can be up to 2 weeks or so beyond the Ex- Date.

Not being an officianado of open offers and by the sounds of it, neither are you, I certainly wasn't aware of this.

As you say, if we had been, there was an opportunity on Monday to grab some extra shares to provide an additional entitlement.

Cheers.

Alfa.

Alan wouldn't worry about yer average I just worked mine out to be 14.8. Thinking theres a deal to come I've just placed an order to more than double my holding and average down to around 6.9. It could well prove to be the worst decision of the decade but at these prices and a portfolio of 14 I think why not.
