THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

greekman - 11 Feb 2013 18:49 - 21308 of 81564

Q Why do Findus Lasagne ready meals make you fat?

A Because they are full of Shergar!

OK won't change the day job.

Tesco has confirmed that horsemeat has been detected in its Everyday Value Spaghetti Bolognese, which was taken off shelves last week.

connected but different .... i was in waitrose and purely out of idle curiosity, i lookd at the creme fraiche ..... surely just cream + some acidity to create ..... hahaha! .....

the natural french one was effectively just that

waitrose (essential line) - pasteurised milk, pasteurised cream, pectin, stabiliser, emulsifier and a couple of e numbers for good measure .... no bullshit!

skinny - 12 Feb 2013 06:16 - 21311 of 81564

Well you wouldn't want bullsh*t, would you?

greekman - 12 Feb 2013 06:45 - 21312 of 81564

Skinny,

Don't talk too soon, until the full test results are out, we have no idea exactly what is in some of these meals.

Mind you, if bullsh*t was found to be an ingredient, the FSA would still put out a statement saying there is no risk to public health, after all governments have been feeding us bullsh*t for years!

skinny - 12 Feb 2013 06:49 - 21313 of 81564

Very true Greek!

Looks like someone isn't too impressed!

Lightning strikes on day of Pope’s abdication

A bolt of lightning hit St. Peter’s dome in the Vatican on the day Pope Benedict announced he would be stepping down. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

as i ran a restaurant for 7 years, for sure i have more real experience than you as to what happens behind the scenes and also with the local EHO - very helpful they are too

if you choose to eat in the backstreets of cairo or even bolton or glasgow, then it is entirely up to you, and you should not be surprised if they do not have the same hygiene standards as amaya or chutney mary et al

as always, you make the most stupid sweeping statements and just show yourself up as the total plonker you indeed are

TANKER - 12 Feb 2013 12:52 - 21319 of 81564

Fred1new - 12 Feb 2013 13:18 - 21324 of 81564

Cynic,

You do value yourself highly.

-------------

Have a look at the % of faeces allow in various spices.

-

Another, interesting type food which I have consumed an unreasonable amount of are various "continental" sausages and salami etc..

Check on the ingredients of many two see the number of donkeys to pig or other ingredients.

Look for ane or annes to see the proportions.

Fred1new - 12 Feb 2013 13:20 - 21325 of 81564

Cynic,

I will think of you as Manuel from now on.
