Are you Feeling lucky?!!! In since 2001 and staying in,I would say you're quite a big player Tony, I'm small by comparison but will still be quite well off if SEO ever did hit a Quid!! Good luck to all, cheers.

robinhood - 12 Oct 2006 17:00 - 21368 of 27111

Reckon the forthcoming dilution has already been factored in hence the drop over the past few weeks to current lvls

The dilution has been factored in, that is obvious. How can it not have been when everyone knows about the placing, offer.

bosley - 12 Oct 2006 17:27 - 21371 of 27111

garyble, instead of holding all your shares, why not sell the same number as your entitlement then buy them back at 0.8p? you'll still have a million and a bit of cash.

Paperbackwriter - 12 Oct 2006 17:29 - 21372 of 27111

I'm definitely IN.
This will be HUGE one day!

Alan

Although your share "will suddenly represent only 34% of the value they did on the 31st October" you are overlooking that the Company will be 15million more valuable in terms of cash.

Did you get my response to your maths question on Sunday? I am having trouble with my Email provider.

rmhyams - 12 Oct 2006 17:54 - 21375 of 27111

I'm in, and have topped up on the back of what was said in the prospectus.

I believe that Sphere said no to Stanelco about licencing the Starpol IP to third parties because those third parties have to be given the resin composition secret in order for them to make the resin. Once someone knows the secret then the secret is likely to go out to the whole world. Any transgressor would face litigation which would be expensive and time consuming, but at the end of the day the secret is still out, and the commercial advantage is lost. Sphere probably have a lot more experience of the difficulting in keeping hold of IPRs than Stanelco, and made sure that Stanelco didn't make any mistakes regarding IPRs by their announcement. Also, in the long run I think it will be more financially beneficial for Biotec, or Stanelco with permission, to produce Starpol rather than to licence others to make it.

Also, if you look in the prospectus Stanelco have issued a promissory note for 5.317 million. If you then look at page 202 you will see that Biotec owe Sphere the same amount i.e Stanelco owe Biotec, who in turn owe Sphere. Moreover, under the use of net proceeds it states that approximately 5.6 million will be used to "ensure completion by either Biotec or Stanelco of at least two manufacturing facilities in the USA for the production of resin including Starpol material." When I complete something it usually means that I have started something!!

Moreover, I feel that Alan's last post should also go onto the research page. Nice one Alan.

Kind regards
Raymond

Alan & Raymond,

Thanks for the interesting posts.
So Raymond i have concluded (perhaps in my slow way) that in topping up now and taking the 34% dilution hit you feel its not worth waiting until post dilution.

No matter what happens to SEO you have to hand it to them for keeping you thinking all the time

rmhyams - 12 Oct 2006 21:09 - 21379 of 27111

No I don't think it's wothwhile waiting until post dilution. I think that there is positive news coming. Having said that, in my worst case scenario of Sphere bidding to buy Stanelco there would be a premium to the sp at the time. So, I think that investing now is a relatively safe bet IMHO.

Kind regards
Raymond

Another run of the mill day for SEO.
As the SP rises we see some new ideas from SEO. Some of the rumours put on the board today include;
Kims post 21315 suggesting SEO are about to remake "The French Connection". The role of Popeye Doyle will be taken by Martin Wagner, but the famous car chase will be done in golf buggies to maintain the environmentally friendly stance of the company.
CNN made a report that SEO were exploring the packaging of new agers. If this gets the buggers down from trees where I'm trying to build a road then thats fine by me.
SEO launched a new product today. Biodegradable doorstops, cunningly disguised as prospectus. Made entirely from paper and recycled promises, they will break down very quickly. They will be taken to court though over their use of the slogan "soft, strong and very, very long".
Finally there is a rumour that R&D are working on something called "post dilution". This is a way of making millions of fence posts froma single concentrated tree by adding water.
We learned that CFD's are not a cup of tea, but a financial instrument, for losing money very quickly.
We learned much about our contributors to this hallowed thread.
Following yesterdays Napoleon complex over the French stuff, many posters showed their own particular complex.
Stockdog is auditioning for the part of Baldrick. Oblo fancies himself as Nostradamus, with his return to his predictions of a week ago. Meanwhile Ghengis has had enough of being so distant to our memories, he has modernised and started being Churchill (our darkest hour). Driver has told us he cannot be bothered wotking (much) but has pledged a fiver to the shareholders benevolent fund.
Oily has suggested that SPhere will be interested if SEO can get their USA stuff off the ground. Martin Wagner has read this and has instructed Howard White to try and contact wilbur and Orville wright. The R&D dept. are seeking a patent on biodegradable aircraft.
Finally Shares mag. has changed its stance on SEO again. Its been In, Out, In ,Out and is now recomending "shake it all about". They will perform it live at the EGM.
Finally, I have proven beyond doubt that 117% of posters on these boards do not understand percentages.
God alone knows what tomorrow may bring.
Alan

You're wasted in financial services!

Perhaps you could become David Cameron's spin doctor when he gets to Downing Street. After he mauled Blair during PMQs in the House yesterday with (good) humour, he will need some body who is a little off the rails.

Hang about, maybe SEO will need a spin doctor in the future, but one with a difference. He should have the unique skill of being able to tell the truth!

The oily one

qtheman - 12 Oct 2006 23:38 - 21385 of 27111

Still in, topped up nicely for my holdings in the last few weeks and the 3 for 5 will take my average down to 4.5p.

Not overly impressed by what I read in the prospectus, a lot of unanswered questions regarding SPhere, Greenseal going even slower and interestingly for me(as I think its a dead duck) the fact that it says they are still trying produce suitable sample fag filters. This does not suggest that they are going to be ready for the next series of Drgons Den.

Also, they have all these "fabulous" products that they have been unable to bring to market yet continue to spend a ridiculous amount on R&D. That should be stopped until Greenseal and Starpol start earning enough to cover it.

driver - 12 Oct 2006 23:58 - 21386 of 27111

If you put stanelco in Yahoo Images this comes up it looks like Wagner has been smoking his self to death trying out all those fag filters.
