Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

so MrT, you are only blathering from hearsay or taking what the daily wail or some other twaddle-publication prints as gospel ..... when you have some firsthand experience - aka facts - to work from, then you might write sense, though from past experience, this is singularly unlikely

skinny, do you trust what they do in the back room of all the take aways? I don't.
But I will say we have one in my area that does all the cooking in full view of the customer...that I am happy with :-)

Opto - I don't really eat many takeaways these days - once or twice a year maybe.
Normally as you say - cooked in front of me.

I blame it all on Eve, if she had behaved in the garden of Eden, everything that is supposedly bad for us, would be good for us. :-)

wasn't it blissful yesterday when we got rid of MrT and his blathering when he went to his local YWL to get rat-arsed
==================
on a less tedious note, i see that Martine McCutcheon (ex E'enders and Love Actually etc) has declared herself bankrupt ..... it's far from uncommon, but what a pity that someone who presumably made herself a tidy pile, has had bad advice, or not listened to good, and has now been forced into this very uncomfortable and rather degrading position

Cynic,
"wasn't it blissful yesterday when we got rid of MrT and his blathering when he went to his local YWL to get rat-arsed"
Have you got a pub near you?

Advice.
There is an awful amount of people giving advice nowadays, differentiating good from bad is the problem.
Degrading, ummmh, it is only "money", not really a sacred cow, but it depends on how you value yourself at the end of the day.

i have a pub next door to my office, but i have never been in it, and indeed i probably only go to a pub 5/6 times a year
=======
i think the process of being bankrupted is pretty degrading in itself, and more so for someone who is to some extent in the public eye, even if only as a D-list celeb
and though money is only money, that really only holds true when you have it ..... from the socialist-leaning stuff you write, i guess you will be spending all yours on yourself or giving it to battersea dogs home or similar ..... if so, i'm sure your family will be really thrilled at that idea, whatever public face they may put on it

Cynic,
I thought a little more time in the pub might mellow you.
--------------
My parents, allowed me and supported my education, and also enable many of my "follies", I have done the same for my children, who have sufficient incomes to sustain themselves and responsibilities.
Although, I am grateful for my financial inheritance from my parents, but wished that they had been less frugal and spent more on themselves in their last years.
I encouraged them to do so and wished they had.
-------------
My children would not be offended by how I, or my wife leave the disposal of our "values" on our deaths. They, like I, would make no claim on predecessors for their own comforts of life.
In probability, after donations by my wife to "groups" of her interest, any residue would go to my grandchildren for any help needed in their development.

"i have a pub next door to my office, but i have never been in it, and indeed i probably only go to a pub 5/6 times a year" Judging by the tone of some of you posts on here I wouldn't be surprised to hear that you have been banned.
