I kind of half expected the SP to drop a fair bit this afternoon as traders took profits on the 30% rise since Monday, but it has not, so I assume much of the buying is shorters closing.

Halifax say they are sending Email's to their costomers today.{re; 3 for 5}
Could someone please explain who these refer to.
1) Ordinary Shares marked 'ex entitlement' 10 October
2) Open Offer Entitlements credited to CREST stock accounts of 13 October
Qualifying CREST Shareholders

Presumably 1) refers to shares bought after the cut off date of 9th. Oct and not
covered by the open offer.
2) Those shareholders with shares bought up to the cut-off date who hold through crest accounts.

oblo - Thanks for the patent date info. For the main Greenseal one then, the Priority Date is round about 10 April 2004, i.e. ~ 18 months earlier with 20 years to run from that date, assuming it runs to grant.
For info, today's post brought my letter from Hargreaves Lansdown inviting an application of 3 new for 5 old held at close of business on 9th October 2006.
The Election Form to take up the offer kindly works out your new share entitlement (still worth checking it yourself, of course) and does not allow you to apply for any amount greater than this entitlement, although you can apply for fewer.
Alfa.

being a relatively new boy to this world of shares doing my best to understand all that is going on with SEO. Am I right to understand that in order to generate funds they have arranged for lots of shares to be made available to existing share owners at a price of 0.80p. If you therefore owned shares on the given date you will be contacted and given the opportunity to buy more at this price. Are these shares the same as shares already owned - could you sell for instance the next day at the shown share price ? Sorry to be a pain but if anyone could take the time to confirm my understanding or clarify would much appreciate. Could be I am out of my depth certainly felt that way watching my investment decline the way it has over the last few weeks/months.

thank you Hew sorry for seeming like a simpleton but need to confirm my understanding. When these shares are in the market because of the dilution isn't the price likely to drop in respect of this additional volume. In which case is the risk in buying the additional shares subject to this price correction. Does that make sense?

Not a simpleton at all. None of us are born knowing how the markets work , and to be fair, most of us will die without ever really working it out!!
The theory is that 15mill (or whatever) is added to the number of shares in circulation and 15 million is added to the companys balance sheet. Result is no change.
In truth, the markets will take a view on whether this money will be used to move to profitability (in which case the price will rise) or be pi$$ed against a wall (in which case it will fall). Just as with the current shares.
Hope that helps,
Alan

The factory project in Wales has been shelved. When I last spoke to SEO they said it was still on their list but no longer a priority. (It seems their priority turned out to be to lose as much money as they could in the shortest possible time!!)

Yeah that wall is in for a good wetting, first with champagne as the input into the director's pension scheme and future reward system is celebrated, then with the other stuff as the directors fail to direct and the managers fail to manage again.
Now if they said they were to manufacture Starpol from bullshit, that would be something, since they have created their own mountain thereof. I feel sorry for the engineers and chemists down in the engine room, the good ship SEO having almost run aground, now has to negotiate all those icebergs. Yes thats right, the ones that were supposed to be almost melted months ago, but are still there mostly below the surface. Any one of which could rent a fatal tear in the hull long before the ship sails into paradise harbour.

Call me whatever you like as long as you call me when its teatime!!
I see we've moved from The French Connection to Titanic. Gene Hackman to leonardo Di Caprio in 2 days!! The SP's good looks have done exactly the same, and the directors are still cast as Forrest Gump, even as they script The Colour of Money meets Snatch, with a few scenes from gone in 60 seconds.
If they ever do make a film of all this, lets hope its a Disney one. At least we will get a happy ending.
