Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

RobinReeve - 27 Feb 2004 13:59 - 215 of 2372

How do we get our hands on these at 1 .... ?

Bullshare - 27 Feb 2004 14:25 - 216 of 2372

Have now sold all mine at 130p+. Happy to have cash in the bank, initial purchase was at 34p and at various levels up to 103p. Will watch and wait to see what tranpires with announcements/fund raising, will buy back sometime no doubt.

Dil - 27 Feb 2004 14:28 - 217 of 2372

.... or short it.

Dil - 27 Feb 2004 15:27 - 218 of 2372

Is that Tim Freeborn article genuine ?

Cheers

Dil:The rumour has been doing the rounds for a few days, so who knows.

Dil - 27 Feb 2004 15:40 - 220 of 2372

Thanks , can't get a sensible answer on advfn fbb .... like a zoo over there , chuck a banana skin in and they all start fighting :-)

Well the article is on Money.am's home page so it's hard to believe it's a fake.

Does this mean that owners will be offered shares at 100p like they were in Stanelco at 3p?

Bones - 27 Feb 2004 16:15 - 224 of 2372

I don't think so angi. If true it will presumably be tied in with various contract completions and developments to be announced before or at the 8th March results. A placing is just that, a placing of shares with large investors. I would certainly like to see a stake taken by one of the US pharmas rather than the institutions. That would get tongues wagging!

Things are certainly moving fast with this stock!

Wendy D - 27 Feb 2004 16:27 - 225 of 2372

If Freeborn is correct, and "one investor" has been told he must stump up cash by next week, then it can't be a rights issue - the timescale is totally wrong. So nothing for the PI's - but then BPRG just DID a rights issue, so shareholders can't complain.

If Freeborn is correct, then it must be a general placing, probably with institutions or "sophisticated" investors.

And - an important consideration - if Freeborn is correct, what's it FOR? They put a few mill in the bank back in December for the March film plant. What do they want more dosh for right now? A little thought brings up some interesting possibilities.......

angi - 27 Feb 2004 17:08 - 226 of 2372

Which are? Tell us more Wendy

Bones - 27 Feb 2004 17:15 - 227 of 2372

Let's wait and see. All should be made clear by 8th March. You either hold for the potential or you don't.

chandos - 27 Feb 2004 18:53 - 228 of 2372

The dosh might be for the acquisition or, more expensively, the building from scratch, of a film plant in the USA.

Have recently bought my allocation of A and B warrants and now am holding on to my sizeable holding.

THE COUNT--->ALL

I was at the conference in Oxford where Graham Hind presented. Barry Muncaster, the ex CEO was also there.

The impression I got from talking to both is that they were supremely confident and promised a few surprises.

I know this story inside out anyway....not interested in the day to day movements on this one....only interested in its potential to hit 5 plus before I die hopefully, or to get taken out.

I have a massive cushion on my own stock so can afford to sit tight no matter what. Unfortunately many others got burned quite hard...but that's the name of the game. I feel sorry for them, but anyone who bought at up to 160p would get their money back and a lot more if they had the patience to hold out rather than sell out.

Playing these games of trying to call the top or the bottom always make me laugh. We hear about it only when people get it right and it is forgotten about when they get it invariably wrong. Good luck to you all however you play this game....I just don't have the patience to try and call 10% - 20% movements either way every other week....I get bored.

I'd much rather get 500% movements right every other year.....especially when holding a very large stake before the fun really starts. Now that's when you get a nice warm feeling in your loins!!!!

Have a nice weekend to y'all.

THE COUNT!

Dil - 27 Feb 2004 19:52 - 230 of 2372

You too Count but its the market that'll determine the price not Mr Muncaster and a box of suprises.

Best thing they could do in the short term imo is plug the leaks.

THE COUNT--->DIL

What leeks?

You must have them on the brain boyo.

:-)

As I said, I'm totally relaxed about this....it's a great story in the making. One of the best, if not the best I've ever come across.

After raising all that money recently, I wonder what they could be raising money for this time...so shortly after the last fund raising. The mind boggles.....and the loins get warmer in anticipation. How can institutions be so prepared to support yet another funding round so close to the last one? Maybe, just maybe, there might be something interesting that the company have spotted that they want the money for.

Assuming that there is indeed a funding round....it could after all be just another bit of smelly bullshit.

I think I'm going to have me some leek soup tonight.

THE COUNT!

Dil - 27 Feb 2004 20:11 - 232 of 2372

Enjoy the soup :-)

Scottie - 27 Feb 2004 20:30 - 233 of 2372

That's another issue that is unresolved - with Stanelco. Personally I wouldn't touch this share with a bargepole right now.

nematode - 27 Feb 2004 20:35 - 234 of 2372

So scottie y don't you piss off and reamin a pauper for the rest of your life and leave us good guys alone in our quest to make money.
