VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

I don't get the downward sp after this update investors or the mm's do not have a clue into U exploration companies by the looks of it. I am very happy with the progress so far we used to be pleased with 39 holes now we have got Permits approved for further 75 drill holes on North Alice Extension and The Company has submitted the Notice of Intent to drill up to 100 new exploration holes.

Looks like a very good opp to me I will be topping up again.

A top up is a top up if this gets to 2 one day it would have been worth it.

A good read link from the other side.

Uranium Mining in ArizonaHigh Grade and Safe

The highest-grade uranium deposits in the United States (average grade close to 1%) occur in a breccia pipe environment in northwestern Arizona. In fact, these deposits are higher grade than most uranium deposits elsewhere in the world, with the exception of the Canadian

hlyeo98 - 03 Mar 2008 16:13 - 2155 of 2220

This looks cheap considering its potential.

From the above link

(I.W. Mathisen, oral commun., 1990). Although these uranium grades are dwarfed by those of the Athabasca Basin unconformity deposits in Canada, it is significant that (1) the breccia pipe mining costs are significantly less for the Arizona deposits, and (2) these ore grades of 0.4-1% are as high or higher than any other global uranium-deposit type.

This needs a major mining company to come in and help...a VML farm out might be a solution !

aldwickk - 17 Mar 2008 08:19 - 2159 of 2220

I don't agree , not while it is being funded by their gold & silver production and another uranium bull market not far off. And we still have lot of drill results to come.

driver - 17 Mar 2008 08:57 - 2160 of 2220

rf
As aldwickk says this doesnt need any help when the sp went to 30+p VML only had 39 pipes in its sights now it has 200 the exploration all funded from its own Gold and Silver mine with Gold at $1000 there is no problem VML is a bit slow but that is not uncommon with this type of stock a good one to accumulate. There will be a return to Uranium high prices with some gurus seeing U prices going as much as $500 lb

From todays news.

The Company is actively engaged in seeking two
additional independent non-executive directors, including a Chairman to enhance
the Board further as it pursues an intended dual listing on the Toronto Stock
Exchange in the second half of 2008. A further announcement in this regard will
be made in due course.

required field - 01 Apr 2008 22:59 - 2162 of 2220

Well....I still think that it will be a tall order (as so to speak) for a lttle company like this to go it alone....perhaps we ought to apply for the jobs !, if they can turn the pipes into a mine or mines without a major giving some sort of help....they will have done us proud !

driver - 02 Apr 2008 09:09 - 2163 of 2220

rf
They have their own Gold and Silver mine to finance the exploration I don' think they need any help also if they do list on the Toronto Stock Exchange the sp will take a hike that will make finance come easy.

required field - 02 Apr 2008 09:50 - 2164 of 2220

They might do well to report in ...that way (if the Toronto stock exchange is ok by the Inland revenue ) you could put the stock in an ISA....I wish more aim companies would follow JLP's lead on this matter !

Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2007

Vane Minerals Plc (AIM:VML), today announces its preliminary results for the
year ended 31 December 2007:

Highlights

The portfolio of uranium properties continues to grow, with the
acquisition of a number of new assets in Utah and Arizona.
The Arizona breccia pipe and Utah uranium drilling programs returned
encouraging results - for Utah, a positive step towards the Company's aim of
producing a resource estimate during the first half of 2008.
The Diablito mine in the State of Nayarit, Mexico continued to operate
smoothly.
VANE's San Dieguito de Arriba mill was commissioned, resolving the
bottleneck associated with milling the Diablito ore. Full scale, 24/7,
operation of the 100-120 ton per day mill began on 14th January 2008.
A new programme has commenced focused on porphyry copper targets in the
Southwestern USA and Northern Mexico and continues to develop and identify
attractive targets.
Paraguay officials issued an Exploration Permit for the Itabo concession
that will allow VANE to proceed with our exploration programme, including
drilling.
Two convertible loans for an aggregate of 1.5 million were raised at
attractive rates and more than 6 million was raised in a private placement
of equity.
Year-end cash balance 5,813,353

From today's Times: apparently VML want to drill in the Grand Canyon - glad I've been there before they start to ruin it!

How's this for a uranium mine?
