LOL.
We'll all be old and grey by then and our Zimmers will scratch the dance floor.

Good title for a song "Zimmers on the dance floor".

As performed by Sophie Ellis Oextor???
Oh forget it. I'm off for my tea.

I'm in a bit of a negative phase at the moments, since the RNS, so please excuse me. But

does anyone know is there any way the mm's could have pushed the SP up to suck people into the open offer? Admittedly there has been a lot of buying, but it worries me a little that they could pump up the SP, investors think 'Great' and rush in to take up the offer and then the mm's could drop it again after the offer closes.

Obe2konobi - 16 Oct 2006 17:28 - 21515 of 27111

Hi all
This is beginning to be fun again. Good to have your devious thoughts on here Oblomov but I think if it became that obvious with no share movement to back up the drop then the powers that should be would have to look into it and probably do nothing as usual. Humm...I'll keep your thoughts in mind !
So you could be right but there's just as good chance or more that sentiment is changing with fresh blood coming in and the offer could be a partial saviour for long term holders who get to average down with the big bonus in price difference added. The cost to most to take the offer is low to the risk already taken so far. You'd probably find with another small increase in the SP that if you bought then sold you'd have narrowed the gap anyway.
Still holding, buying the offer and sleeping at night.

Do we expect another notifiable interest RNS in a day or two??
Todays was about a position last Friday, but there was a WT for 15million shares at the bell today, and that one trade represents 1.5% of the issued shares.
Looks to me like another institution building a holding or an existing one increasing theirs.

Good news about the mineworkers upping their stake. If there's one thing SEO and some of the longer term shareholders need right now its a bunch of guys use to digging themselves out of a shithole!

Tonyrelaxes - 16 Oct 2006 23:25 - 21524 of 27111

"It is expected that the Open Offer Entitlements will be admitted to CREST on 12 October 2006." said the RNS OF 9 Oct.

That means 600,992,559 additional shares they could be traded from that date.

Almost 100 million shares were traded today alone - and that is without the 'Firm Placing' 1,375 million shares the Institutions have paid for but are not yet admitted for trading.

Clearly from the SP movement far more are being sold than bought unless there is a huge MM game being played.

This all suggests that the present buyers are from outside existing holders.
Probably stake building by the Institutions who paid the 11m without knowing the uptake. Now, knowing the uptake that assures the immediate future, they have re-considered whatever they were told and convinced by [ ;-)) ], prior to making their investment, to increase their holdings..

I would not be at all surprised to see more notifiable interests in the coming days. and again once the 1,375m New shares are admitted afier the EGM.

PEZ - 17 Oct 2006 07:31 - 21525 of 27111

Morning people. As we are aware of this new chance to get shares @ 0.8 if you already own some, can someone just give me a little help. I have been offered shares too since I own some but can one buy them at this rate online through their trading company(TDwaterhouse) or is there a form to fill out? Also when is the last chance to buy - date wise?. I not so with it with these situations as you can probably tell! :)

Input much appreciated.

Pez

pension271 - 17 Oct 2006 07:42 - 21526 of 27111

hewittalan6 - 17 Oct 2006 07:55 - 21527 of 27111

Good morning, All.
Profit taking today????

Technotamed - 17 Oct 2006 07:59 - 21528 of 27111

I recieved an email from TDWaterhouse but all you need to do is look at your stock list and there is a box to select in the Corporate Action section on the right. When you click this you can choose to accept or decline the offer and also state how many shares you would like upto your full entitlement.

kimoldfield - 17 Oct 2006 08:15 - 21529 of 27111

Morning. Profit taking? Possibly; or more stake building by Popeye Doyle!

kimoldfield - 17 Oct 2006 08:16 - 21530 of 27111
