This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.
Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........
MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture
We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.
Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.
This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)
The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.
Please DYOR
cheers GF.

Let's hope it's sustained. Do you know when the results are due. It's been quiet for some time. A few weeks ago EK was thinking of taking a long position but I think as he pissed off Best and was reported to the FSA by Best, It was just a wind up.

You bet GF. The problem with drinking when watching footie is that by the time the match is over you're pissed, as you loose track in all the excitment. Mind you that pile of dog poo that was on last night wasn't worth staying up for. The Swiss are a boring nation anyway, too green for my liking.

Analyst meeting at 9.30. Brunswick are getting stuck in already, Buchanans never arranged one of these. Would expect some decent press there also. Alot more people and professional investors in the market place will know about this company over the coming months and wonder why they are just hearing about them now. Move over Buchanans and bring on Brunswick.....
Lets look at some bullet points about the company:
The Company now has one of the strongest pipelines in the European biopharmaceutical sector and still only have a market cap of 85mil. The Companys products include: DNA vaccines that are currently in clinical trials covering 75% of the most serious forms of cancer; chemotherapies including ruthenium that appear to offer significant advantages over the market-leading platinum-based drugs; and ribozyme anti-virals for HIV and hepatitis B. Cancer, AIDS and hepatitis B are three of the worlds biggest killers and MMIs products appear, at the current stage of development, to have highly competitive profiles. MMI have stated that they are in commercial discussions with most of the worlds top ten pharmaceutical companies.
We must also remember that the 3 platforms, Genvax, Oncosense and Viratis could at this stage be blockbuster revenue streams and when we say blockbuster we are talking about potential mutli billion $'s.
MMI has one if not the lowest burn rates in the industry and with plenty of money in the bank will not need any further cash in the foreseeable future and im guessing this will never be the case when the big tie up comes.
We must also look at the credible personnel that have joined the teams or been there from day one with Genvax and Oncosense. These guys dont just get involved with a company of MMI's magnitude if they think theres nothing there. These doctors/professors are respectable and proven in there various fields.
I would love someone to show me another company in the same sector that can match or beat the above.

Not sure they do.
Its just the traders buying in the build up and probably selling tomorrow am.
They only look to make a few bob here and there on high probability trades.
OK they get some wrong but the hit rate on this type of thing is quite high.
Anyway thats my call that there will be a bit of selling tomorrow am and the rest of the day dependent on the news.

I wonder if we'll hear anything about the meeting today. It might just give us a bit of hope. They're going to need a tie up fairly soon as the cash will run out. The losses will only widen, but one bit of good news and who knows.
