Thanks Alan. They've left one arm free for now!

You mention mushrooms - is that SEOspeak for investors, by any chance?

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 08:17 - 21593 of 27111

It is for me - I'm a fun guy!!!!
Terrible.

BTW, I do tend to agree with Tony, that the 12million and the sudden interest from institutions is based on SEO telling them what some of us have been saying on here for 3 months, based on our research.

Why is the bloody SP falling again? Massive buys yesterday, buys outnumber sells today, why the sudden lack of confidence?

markusantonius - 18 Oct 2006 09:14 - 21595 of 27111

Oblo, Alan - re: earlier posts - No, I am not up to speed on all developments. Just monitoring out of interest for the day if/when Stanelco finally make an impression on the world - a positive one, that is!

My best wishes, as always.....

kimoldfield - 18 Oct 2006 09:19 - 21596 of 27111

The sp is going down because of Alan's terrible joke. Question for Mrs H, does a fun guy have a toad's tool?! Sorry Alan, no implication intended, just trying to get you off the hook for 'worst joke' category by replacing it with an even worse one!

We received in the post a sales catalogue wrapped in a plastic film - as we all do.

This one was described as "The clear outer wrapper is made from biodegradable materials using renewable resources and is fully compostable".

It looks and feels exactly the same as a sample I have described as Bioplast GF 106 15micron (according to Stanelco's label on it).

Looking through the Prospectus it seems that Bioplast is a BioTec product.

BioTec does seem to be turning into the Treasure Chest as Ian Balchin described it at last years EGM. Pity we only have 50% of it.

oblomov - 18 Oct 2006 09:40 - 21599 of 27111

I'm sure there's also a joke about 'Fairy Rings' in there somewhere, but I'm not going to risk a letter from Alans lawyer!

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 09:45 - 21600 of 27111

You're quite safe, Oblo.
I'm not convinced my lawyer can actually read or write, and even if he could, I cannot afford him.
Alan

kimoldfield - 18 Oct 2006 09:47 - 21601 of 27111

You are a wise man Oblo!

The Prospectus is the best thing since sliced bread. I have pointed out to my wife the biodegradable wallpaper mentioned in the list of patents and have convinced her that is is a waste of time wallpapering as it will all be gone in 3 months....result!

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 09:52 - 21602 of 27111

I have the reverse of that as a problem, Kim.
The missus once read that paper rots away very quickly so she makes sure she very quickly gets rid of any she finds in my wallet.
BTW. What was the best thing before sliced bread??
Alan

kimoldfield - 18 Oct 2006 09:55 - 21603 of 27111

No point in me having a wallet Alan, my cash goes straight from hand to hand. I know I will regret this but.....what is the best thing since sliced bread (other than unsliced)?
kim

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 09:59 - 21604 of 27111

It says alot about the british phsyci that we use that saying.
Surely there are one or two things better than sliced bread.
You know, penicillin, electricity, anaesthetics, an end to Hitler.
But no, we have to choose an invention that saves us getting a knife out and cutting something.

kimoldfield - 18 Oct 2006 10:07 - 21605 of 27111

Ah but, since we didn't have to spend time slicing bread, we had more time to spend on discovering penicillin (from mouldy bread or something), electricity (to toast the sliced bread), aneasthetics (to put the patient out in order to operate after choking on said toast), and feeding Churchill on bread whilst he thought of a demise for Hitler........so you see, sliced bread IS the best invention!

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 10:09 - 21606 of 27111

A good point, well made.

gibell - 18 Oct 2006 10:11 - 21607 of 27111

Stop ramping hovis you lot!!

hewittalan6 - 18 Oct 2006 10:14 - 21608 of 27111

I feel a Wednesday evening SEO summary post coming on................

kimoldfield - 18 Oct 2006 10:16 - 21609 of 27111

Can't wait Alan!
Gibell, I haven't touched Hovis since I saw me poor ol' grandad struggling up that hill with his bike. I could just envisage his nose dripping into the bag.................

Think the sp drop, is down to the usual day traders, nothing more.
This will bobble around the currant sp till further news.

jimward9 - 18 Oct 2006 10:28 - 21611 of 27111

if Calyon are buying for SPhere and do try to buy SEO out, they are a non listed company and we will miss out on the full potential of SEO, because they will only buy for cash not shares.
I would vote against any sale to them.
What do you all think?
