Ah but, since we didn't have to spend time slicing bread, we had more time to spend on discovering penicillin (from mouldy bread or something), electricity (to toast the sliced bread), aneasthetics (to put the patient out in order to operate after choking on said toast), and feeding Churchill on bread whilst he thought of a demise for Hitler........so you see, sliced bread IS the best invention!

Can't wait Alan!
Gibell, I haven't touched Hovis since I saw me poor ol' grandad struggling up that hill with his bike. I could just envisage his nose dripping into the bag.................

if Calyon are buying for SPhere and do try to buy SEO out, they are a non listed company and we will miss out on the full potential of SEO, because they will only buy for cash not shares.
I would vote against any sale to them.
What do you all think?

Jim, I feel that if SPhere are involved, they will possibly be looking for a lever with which to make an influential vote at EGM's, AGM's rather than stage a takeover.

I would certainly vote against a takeover, especially IF the long promised contracts start to come through.
I get the feeling that Calyon hasn't finished buying yet.

As much as many here (including myself on present information) would resist a T/o I doubt if we have any influence. It will depend on AgeoR, although diluted, and whoever bought up the 1,375,000,000 shares within the Firm placing alread paid for.
What if one Institution took the lot, 46% of the new total - Calyon? - they would not have to declare it until after the shares are Issued (EGM).
It would be interesting to know who bought the Firm Placing - and AoR's intentions but we would not get to know these for the timebeing.

I wouldn't support a takeover either but we do need a new Board of Directors for this company.

I dont think the institutions would be supporting this Rights Issue if that wasnt happening.....

Certainly HW's role seems diminished - especially as the USA office appears not to be functioning.
Also no mention of Stephanie Morgan-Fisher in the Prospectus (unlike the BioTec Acquisition document) so presumably she, and her Share Options, no longer figure.

Patisear,
I posted yesterday. The Halifax sent out and e-mail notification of the corporate action. You must log onto their website and look it up in you "manage account" section.
