MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

mickeyskint - 03 Jul 2006 16:19 - 2166 of 2444

He's gonna be popular when he gets back to Old Trafford. I heard they're going to rodger him in the shower. Bloody arsehole.
Roll on Wednesday.

rob308 - 03 Jul 2006 17:40 - 2167 of 2444

Guys, fingers crossed for wednesday, Mickey your buy at 240 was perfectly reasonable because if this co. can do what they (and we shareholders) hope it can do then we can all retire.
Ronaldo???? be surprised if we see him playing domestic football in the UK again, think he's off to Spain. Keep the faith fella's, Rob

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2006 23:22 - 2168 of 2444

Rob, well said. Lets get prioritys right first and thats football(well easy women but none are around.). If that little weazell ever plays on an English ground again I hope he gets nothing but abuse.

Now to MMG, looks like insiders know a thing or two.

goldfinger - 04 Jul 2006 10:59 - 2169 of 2444

Up slightly this morning.

Pete168 - 04 Jul 2006 11:12 - 2170 of 2444

Not sure they do.
Its just the traders buying in the build up and probably selling tomorrow am.
They only look to make a few bob here and there on high probability trades.
OK they get some wrong but the hit rate on this type of thing is quite high.
Anyway thats my call that there will be a bit of selling tomorrow am and the rest of the day dependent on the news.

goldfinger - 05 Jul 2006 10:25 - 2171 of 2444

Results more or less what I expected. No supprises either way. Neutral.

The outlook looks promising though.

mickeyskint - 05 Jul 2006 10:49 - 2172 of 2444

I wonder if we'll hear anything about the meeting today. It might just give us a bit of hope. They're going to need a tie up fairly soon as the cash will run out. The losses will only widen, but one bit of good news and who knows.

MS

goldfinger - 05 Jul 2006 23:31 - 2176 of 2444

I also fancy the foggies seen they have won LOL.

Tried to get on at lunch time mickey but silly devils happening with the board at my end. No poroblems really the whole market was down and Im afraid we still have that volatility.

Nice to see that jerk Ronaldo booed by all, those foreigners. Im now hoping he does come back to United, it should be real fun destroying him. I have no sympathy at all for the jumped up git.

cheers GF.

mickeyskint - 06 Jul 2006 10:55 - 2177 of 2444

I'm with you GF. There was talk of him going to Real Madrid. No news here then we'll just have to keep the faith. I see GSK have developed a condom impregnated with viagra. It's a pity women don't use them, now that would put a smile on my face.

goldfinger - 06 Jul 2006 12:06 - 2178 of 2444

Might be worth taking a stake in them Mickey.

I can imagine all these youngsters banging away all day LOL.

mickeyskint - 06 Jul 2006 12:24 - 2179 of 2444

Oh such sweet memories GF. It's a pity old Best can't come up with something novel. How about a penis enlargement pill. Not that I would need any of course.

goldfinger - 06 Jul 2006 13:21 - 2180 of 2444

Where can you buy these jonnies from then Mickey?.

mickeyskint - 06 Jul 2006 13:54 - 2181 of 2444

They're available over the counter, Boots I suppose GF. I went into a wine bar a while back and the machine in the bog was dispensing whiskey flavoured ones called McDom's. I really laughed. Unfortunately they weren't extra large so I didn't buy any. Going to cut the grass now and it's a 2 hour job on a ride on. Will post tomorrow.
