agree tipton11 - shared royalties on the Ingel product seems a quicker way forward at lower cost than posturing in court which is always a lottery.

Areobox did with Watermark, did them no harm, but of course it is different in SEO's case.

Wal-mart says Asda COO to take over at helm of its British arm
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Asda, Britain's second-largest grocer, has promoted chief operating officer Andy Bond to take over at its helm one week after his predecessor quit the company.

Asda, the British arm of US giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc, said Bond had been appointed to the role of president with immediate effect.

Bond was appointed COO in September 2004, following four years in charge Asda's highly successful George clothing business, now the country's largest clothing retailer in volume terms.

'We are pleased to have the opportunity to appoint someone from inside the business,' Wal-Mart International's president and chief executive John Menzer said in a press release.

'It is clear to us that Andy is the right person to lead the next phase of Asda's success.'

Asda last week revealed Bond's predecessor, Tony De Nunzio, had quit to join the Netherlands' biggest non-food retail group, Royal Vendex KBB.

Under De Nunzio's stewardship Asda has overtaken J Sainsbury PLC to become Britain's second-largest grocery retailer.

The unit now accounts for almost half of the international sales of Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer.

does anyone know when asda is signing up with seo? Also hear that asda is trying to get a one year exclusive on product. (From seo point of view that does not make sense to me

aldwickk - 18 Mar 2005 11:42 - 2169 of 27111

When or if, no one outside of Asda/walmart knows.

Interesting post on the other other side...BPRG Advfn

'Pls do not shoot the messenger, but I am reliably informed that today's hearing ended at 12.30pm with an 'on-points' victory to SEO. The case has been effectively kicked into touch on an obscure point of patent law and so both sides were given leave to appeal, which implies months of arguing to come. Baldwin acknowledged that SEO were going for every trick in the book and it seems at one point as though Miller wanted to take the case through each Country's patent system, one by one. Reduced costs of today's hearing were awarded to SEO. All we can wait for is an RNS (probably from SEO, LOL) to give some sort of understanding to what actually happened this morning.'
Hope it is true:-0

driver: white with 1 sugar please :-)

It will be interesting to see next week how the sp pans out. Will there be alot of profit taking or can people now invest in a company where the sky is definately the limit.

driver - 18 Mar 2005 16:07 - 2181 of 27111

accord
Upward and onward from here I would think if this mornings rumor was correct, the cc settlement will come in long after any deal done with Asda or any one else.
Sugar is bad for you.

Chelsea1957 - 18 Mar 2005 16:07 - 2182 of 27111

Hi everyone, I'm still here ...and will be for at least the next couple of years if everything goes to plan. And although I don't post often I do try to keep up with everything on this board. I might be a little thick but why is the price going up so much when sells massively outnumber buys by over 2:1 on very high turnover?

I had not noticed before but it's quite difficult to drink tea with a big smile on your face..... ;}

Good luck to you all

There appeared to be a 5m sale at 12.03 today - not sure by the sp if it was really a sell - if it was really a buy then this would change the ratio chelsea?
