opened a new short here a day or two back ..... interesting to see that the market seems to concur that SOLA is heading south as in a sea almost uniquely blue, SOLA is red

Closed out at 360 the other day, more due to being on business and away from the computer than market actions.
Interesting to read PTH and all TAers your thoughts on the medium term support.
Cyners might be right about sola going against the market ie, red but looking across the pond there seems to be a big bull raid coming this afternoon so im staying neutral for the moment.

if you think about Dow roared ahead last night and FTSE was then up 200+ on the back of it, yet SOLA dropped - i.e. if you still think SOLA is intrinsically a short, then sp unlikely to rise back through 400 with any impetus

Good point cyners.
Dont forget though they are due to release production updates any day now.
Is the stock being supressed by the delay?. and for what reason the delay?.
Im just going to watch for the first hour or two.

Shall we all get on the same page chaps.?

is reality now catching up with SOLA? ..... currently down 27 at 364 .... 300 must surely be the next (and attainable?) target

I see 340p as the next key level, if no support there 280p-300p looks on the cards and I guess if it goes that far, 200p a distinct possibility once more.

NYSE IPO
SOLA listing on the NYSE, not sure what effect this will have on the SP, but the Directors are certainly making a bundle, don't they always?

as i said 7/10 days ago, sp was being artificially supported while SOLA got their NY listing off the ground ...... am now into a very nice profit and shall have to contemplate whether or not this short position should continue to run

Well Richard it's sitting right where I expected it to, 340p; either gets going here or 280p-300p next stop.

why? .... i think GF has this one right .... also, if you look back through some of the news on this company, you will see that the management even had to own up to lack of clarity and transparency ...... no surprise there; typical modern chinese business ethics

Quite early yet Richard, 340 ish has been the Bid more or less since open, the spread has closed significantly since the early deals.

$119 million to be raised and underwrittten, but the company were looking for $200 million from reports in the press, in other words 59 million raised but were looking for 100 million a shortfall of 41 million which will not go down well with the US traders.
Wheres the additional funding coming from now given that it was imho an emergency situation dressed up in the first place.

Total of $119 million underwritten, and not $130 million, see post above.
and as for trading at a huge discount, throw in the dilution of
bonds 10%
employee scheme 7%
and now this defunked IPO 17% and the total prospective dilution is
a grand total of 34%.
Dont have to tell you how this will now affect the P/E ratio going forward.
Watching initial reaction on the Dow.
