Spurs were fabulous! Liverpool rescued again by Stevie G, back to reality this weekend though against Chelsea, but will give him the opportunity to get to know his new team mates come January :O)

Chelsea have got Josh McEachran. Why on earth would they want Gerrard?

So far during his time at Liverpool (Age 30) he has won 10 trophys:-
FA Cup (twice)
League Cup (twice)
FA Community Shield (Twice)
UEFA Champions League (Once)
UEFA Cup (Once)
UEFA Super Cup (Twice)
One trophy is missing to complete the set. English Premier League, can you honestly see him waiting for Liverpool to rebuild? Unlikely he would join United, Arsenal. A big If I know Hils, but if Chelski did show an interest the odds are that missing trophy would be in the bag at the end of the season.

CC,
He's a thick scouser. He had his chance to join Chelsea a few years ago and spurned it then. It's his loss and Chelsea have moved on.
Chelsea definitely don't want to be paying top dollar wages for an ageing star at a time when the top clubs have to start showing a surplus of income over expenditure to ensure being able to compete in European competitions a couple of years out.
Like I say, Chelsea are blooding youngsters now for the future. Watch out for Josh McEachran over the coming months. The boy is pure class for someone so young.

OK Hils, he may be a thick scouser, but he is without doubt a proven world class player. A space worth watching:O)

eh?
i dont think the english press could give a toss how bad we are
i would also argue gerrard is world class...one game in turkey does not make you world class...i cannot remember him standing out in any major international tournament...can anyone? which is where you define world class players not turning it on against blackpool and wigan

Errr excuse me but Gareth Bale would be a much better buy than Gerrard (although Gerrard is twice the player Lampard is).
Wonder if Man City would like to offload any more players to Cardiff in Jan and keep paying their wages ??? ... Barry and Anelka might make the subs bench :-)

Treb - Don't give up the day job, football scout wouldn't be a good career choice, I wish Bale was English!
