gildph - 29 Aug 2004 14:17 - 226 of 2700

Has anyone heard when they're announcing who's been successful regarding the tenders?

Tokyo - 30 Aug 2004 06:16 - 227 of 2700

you can be sure that when people hear it will be on every PET BB there is, many including myself are thinking the 1st or 2nd week of September

rkausar - 31 Aug 2004 09:02 - 228 of 2700

sent Pet e-mail asking re: announcement, no reply yet!!!

Tokyo - 31 Aug 2004 09:19 - 229 of 2700

rkausar-I sent them two e-mails last week and no reply as yet, think there is an embargo on info regarding the announcements at the moment

Tokyo - 31 Aug 2004 09:56 - 230 of 2700

OK something to cheer you guys up, as I don't expect an announcement today, but this was taken from another BB, and well it's GOOD NEWS BABY!!!!!

Ok gents,
I was fortunately able to communicate with David Horgan yesterday by satelite e-mail and received a very interesting and positive reply. I have cut and pasted the reply below but only after first asking his permission to share the information with fellow PET holders.

We are in level 2 technical communications on the three oil field developments with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.Industry perception is that we are front runners for at least one - though this is not official. We will drive ahead as fast and aggressively as possible.

Three Iraqi technicians of the Ministry's Oil Exploration Co. are coming to our operations for training / general technical discussions in September. We are finalising their visas. Our Chief Geologist is today flying to Amman for the second phase of our cuttings and well core sampling programme on western desert wells - this is part of our JV with the Jordanian authorities (NRA).

David Horgan
MD
Petrel.

"End of quote".

I hope this information not only indicates to all that things are indeed continuing to progress well but is also a bit of a confidence booster to those of you who may feel a little uncertainty about what the future holds for PET.
I myself (IMHO) am still firm in my belief that PET will become a 'major' player in the future of Iraqi's oil exploration & producing future whether it be on their own or with a partner/JV.

morning/evening tokyo,
having read your posts here and elsewhere, i take it to be true, sorry if i sound abit sceptical.did you have to hold a gun to his head to get that reply.it`s like your own personal RNS!!

dexter

Tokyo - 31 Aug 2004 10:28 - 232 of 2700

not my e-mail I'm afriad took this from the ample BB, millidog I think posted it, he seems to be in the oil business and have Horgans ear as he was replying from another e-mail, all seems on the up & up. When it is backed up by the RNS I shall be so happy, until then just waiting with you guys!!!!

Tokyo - 31 Aug 2004 10:50 - 235 of 2700

Then the answer is sadly "NO" not him, I'll go back to being Sherlock

dexter01 - 01 Sep 2004 13:57 - 236 of 2700

why is it that the 48,000 buy that went through a while back was priced at 2p or so above the buy price?.
many thanks,
dexter

MM's are reading 4 V 1 on level 2 (or so it has been reported I don't have level 2)

So the buyer could have agreed to a higher price on such a large buy. It has happened to me a few times on Forbidden Technology, the MM's have knocked up the price on amounts larger than the normal market amount
