Sorry you weren't there tonight Spacie - in Carlisle I mean.
Next stop Clitheroe.

Actually, don't be too sorry, Spacie - they're all going to be the worse for wear tomorrow (apart from Ruthie of course - she and I will be as bright as buttons)

Just seen your post Bullie - jeez it would've helped if you'd typed the right road in your satnav, you know.

jj50 - 11 Nov 2005 09:11 - 222 of 259

Really sorry am not going to be able to make it today. Car trouble and garage wouldn't hand it back last night :-(

Have a great day every one!

Jennifer

markusantonius - 11 Nov 2005 12:16 - 223 of 259

Apologies for non-attendance today. The Shark overslept (5 alarm calls!!) after a very late badminton match last night - very embarrassing!!
I was really looking forward to it. Next time perhaps....?

TomH - 11 Nov 2005 19:14 - 224 of 259

It was good to see Ruth. She is such a gorgeous babe.....

When will the day come Ruth, when you and I can trade side by side, holding hands ????????????????????????????

stuartreece - 11 Nov 2005 19:19 - 225 of 259

Another very informative and entertaining day. Excellent. Thanks to everybody involved.

Just one small point - is it possible to supply lapel microphones to all the presenters as sometimes it is difficult to hear even when seated only halfway back in the room.

bigbobjoylove - 11 Nov 2005 19:40 - 226 of 259

i enjoyed it but found it almost impossible to hear, why no mic as standard.I was sat right under the rattling air con as well!!

Would well recommend the day though. Thanks to all who helped and arranged and all the speakers.

MightyMicro - 11 Nov 2005 22:59 - 227 of 259

Ruth - 11 Nov 2005 23:19 - 228 of 259

Tom, stop teasing a girl like that, :-)
MM:-)

Good day, great to meet so many new faces,
however from mine and shoguns live presentation point of view, bit dissapointing, we didnt lose any money but the market just wouldnt play for us, very rangebound in the time we had it up live, unfortunately the time slots were running late and our laptops played up with re sizing the charts when plugged into the projector which for some unforseen reason made the appearance disconfigured from what we wanted, so by the time we got up and live we had missed the one move the market gave by about 10 mins, which was very unfortunate as we would have been jumping in on the break out, hopefully the reasoning came accross ok ,and the audience could clearly see why and where we would have got in the trades, but i hate talking charts and saying we would have longed here and shorted there, hindsight is marvellous, really big audience and really wanted to do the trades live and not in hindsight, im not comfortable with public speaking anyway, so to have to stand through a market doing nothing was not ideal for me, however shogun did a great job i think with his great scouse wit, and there was the usa trade we pointed out on caterpillar which on paper generated 17 virtual points from when we first highlighted it, so not a total wash out, but all in all was hoping for much more volatility so we could really get our teeth into the live trading, but suppose it wasnt to be,unfortunately its a very difficult job to do being at the mercy of the markets, and today it wasnt playing ., maybe next time:-)
the one positive point is that we did show that you dont have to chase trades, dont have to gamble and patience will pay off in the end.

anyway, thanks to all who attended and hope you all had a safe journey home,
ive just rung up shoguns house and hes not home yet, hope hes still not in the bar, and those who stayed behind will know what im talking about:-)

Ruth - 11 Nov 2005 23:36 - 229 of 259

oh to run salt in, just checked out caterpillar, and it went up another 18 points after we turned computer screen off, :-( lifes a bitch:-)

bigbobjoylove - 12 Nov 2005 15:16 - 234 of 259

STORMCALLER - 12 Nov 2005 15:46 - 235 of 259

Finally arrived home from traders' day, well I do get lost A LOT!..lol
Good day once again, highlight slots without a doubt were Sputnik and the Ruth & Shogun show, the latter in particularly difficult circumstances!
As ever it was nice to meet some new people, and get in touch with some previous acquaintances.
Extra special thanks to Ruth and Shogun for the hospitality I received..:-)
(Ruth, 20 was a kite-flyer, all it really needs is a chip-buttie and a glass of cheap plonk...:-))) )

Ruth - 12 Nov 2005 16:36 - 236 of 259

Tom, your going to be in trouble when the wife reads post 224, youve already been shouted at once you naughty boy:-)
Anyway, serious competition now Tom , some hunky hubby material there yesterday, only problem is Stephies thinking of the same blokes as me :-)
Only kidding, im a good girl really, just love flirting, nothing wrong with window shopping hey Stephie:-) Dont think my other half would mind me window shopping, but he might draw the line at trying on the clothes:-)

Bosley, did you reallly end up alone with that woman in the bar,?you unlucky sod:-)blame Steph:-)
ps she wasnt with traders for anyone wondering what were on about, just some lady hotel resident in the bar chatting up all the male traders in the bar, proper bunny boiler, even i was propositioned by her for a night of passion which as you can imagine had me in stitches,
but even funnier when she told Shogun he needed to learn some conversation skills, :-)Jeff i will look up some therapy sessions buddy:-)

Anyone needing any info or anything they didnt understand please drop me a mail on the above address, might take me a while to answer if the markets are busy, but i will get round to it,

Ruth - 12 Nov 2005 16:38 - 237 of 259

Stormie, cheap plonk in the fridge ready:-)

Yantraman, your internal email isnt enaibled, i wanted to send you a mail:-(
