That's where my query lay, Alan.
Any T+t trade must be settled t working days after the trade date.
Thus, any trade made yesterday on T+10 must be settled by Friday 10th November.
Hope this helps.

Fred1new,
I agree the MM's are probably in the dark as much as we are with whats happening, but I still think they have big orders to fill, or have now filled them.

13% of SEO's current issued stock in two transactions should be RNS'd pretty soon.
I'd guess it likely to be AoR raising the cash to take up the offer....needs to find ~1.04m, plus could aslo be raising a little extra to mop up a few more and have some pocket money left over!

Sorry to harp on, Alan - it would be a T+6, which is not a common settlement term !

The Times October 28, 2006
Rumour of the day
Stanelco, the developer of biodegradeable materials, fell 0.3p to 1.19p as Kaupthing placed 85 million shares, or an 8.5 per cent stake, at 1p. That trade stoked talk that Sphere, Stanelcos French partner, may be building a stake ahead of the November 6 vote on a 14.4 million refinancing. However, the truth is said to be that Howard White, director, has sold stock to fund the take-up of his rights.

Assuming it was AoR selling 85m to purchase its shares - then potentially there is another 45m of shares about to hit the market (as the balance of its holding)
Current holding is :
Age of Reason Foundation 217,078,122 23.12
Richards & Appleby Ltd 73,371,681 7.82
Barclayshare Nominees Ltd 60,892,255 6.49
Caylon Corp & Inv Bank 59,500,724 5.97
Waterhouse Nominees Ltd 35,969,831 3.83
L R Nominees Ltd 31,507,514 3.36
Mineworkers Pens Scheme & British Coal Staff Superan'tn Sche 31,489,216 3.16
FMR CORP and Fidelity Int Ltd 29,348,700 3.11
217m/5*3 =130m

At the risk of being pedantic, The Times' (sloppy) rumour is exactly the reason why rumours start.
If Stanelco had fallen by 0.3p to 1.19p, that would represent a 22% fall in the mid-price.
It actually fell by 0.03p.
It's a good job the writer doesn't work in my line or they would kill someone !
That aside, even this "fall" is spurious in view of the fact that the market opened at 1.1p and the first hour of trading was carried out at a mid-price of 1.18p.
The end-of-day price could thus be viewed as a rise !

On closer inspection - I see that there was indeed 130m of sells with 85m @ 15.17 and 45m @ 15.26 - so it would appear that AoR have indeed already sold their 130m so as to purchase their allocation.
IMHO

BH1910,
AoR's entitlement is for 130m shares at 0.8p, they don't have to sell 130m to get 130m only the cash equivalent!

Bhunt 1910, if Aof R sell 130m and then take up their allocation of 130m maybe they don't have to notify the market as there holding remains the same?

Outside of this speculation of fridays deals (which I do not understand your drift) AoR could well have been one of the favoured '"Institutions and other investors'" that paid 11 million (or more) to T&G well in advance of the RNS announcing the fundraising.
If AoR are short of funds or borrowing powers, I can possibly understand them looking to make a gain (0.08p to 1.?p already) but they have had a totally static holders for some years so would not seem interested in short term trading/gains. I do see the prblem iof taking up their entitlements if they have no cash. And a quick buck is always appealing.
However HW/AoR would know exactly what the Institutions knew - probably more, hopefully a lot more, which might preclude them geting involved in the first place.
Home tmorrow pm., to my papers and calculator, when I hope to pick up on things a little better.
November 1st approaches which I think, for other reasons, could prove very interesting.

Morning all - I wonder what is in store for us today (apart from great wads of money being taken from our accounts to pay for the new shares!!)
