Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

of course the reason for not eating pork was really for very good health reasons, though this has now been translated into religious dogma

It's just as well there are plenty of decent Muslims around lest people think fahel is typical.

exactly so, though i believe the wording is "fish without scales" and because of this, eel is deemed to be non-kosher (treff) as the scales are so tiny that they appear to be without.
there are similar interesting kosher rules, though not halal i think, which preclude the eating of hindquarters of cattle as the blood (which is what sends meat off quickly) is difficult to drain properly - too many veins or something along those lines

What surprised me is the amount of fear that this thread seems to have engendered in some posters.
Judging, by the hostility within many of the postings, any discussion of a topic which is not to the liking of some, gains and immediate responses and an attempts to suppress, or to destroy any possibility of discussion.
It reminds me of observing the behaviour late child and early adolescent behaviour, which can be witnessed in some schools. A group is playing a game, or doing something which is obvious interest to them, draws the attention of an another seemingly aimless group, who swagger over and try break the activity up. This is done either physically, or by verbal abuse.
Unfortunately, for some, this pattern of behaviour continues in some to later life. As shown by foot ball hooligans, binge drinking, general ya-boo adopted in childhood.
Very much like, if we dont like it, then we will try to destroy it , smash it , bring it down to our own level of thinking or behaving, Then we can show or tell the gang will think we are superior.
This is similar to what is seen racial abuse and other areas of society,/
.
Fascinating to watch, but if this is what we are witnessing, or observing and is representative of the present adults generation, I wonder what their offspring will be like.

fred - are you surprised that everyone is totally bored with you and your verbose and pretty repetitive postings?
"stop the world i want to get off" .... please allow us to help!

Cynic,
As you know, you don't have to read my postings, but it is surprising to me how often feel the "need" to do so.
I am not certain whether there is such a thing as poster stalking, or group poster stalking.
But you do keep on popping up.

Just as matter of interest, why is that?

because pork deteriorates in heat very quickly indeed ..... as a child (in UK!) i remember that pork was pretty much withdrawn from butchers' shops in the summer
