THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Manuel.

I can see why some sad little individuals like yourself, append themselves to parties, with broken promises, failed economic policies, and persistent reflex U-turns, living in hope of being led to the promised land of false dreams .

Unable to stand back and observe, evaluate and consider, what is happening and more importantly why it has happened. Only able to mutter the same outdated mantras of their deluded false gods, continuing on the path which is leading them like lemmings over the cliff.

Good luck, you may need.

Tanker,

Your observation "so am i a racist for wanting my country back .", seems to me, to reflect a true opinion of yourself fairly accurately.

Perhaps it is reasonable to remember that you also belong to a racial minority.

I thought it was rhetoric!

Fred1new - 01 Mar 2013 10:24 - 21937 of 81564

TANKER - 01 Mar 2013 10:30 - 21938 of 81564

cynic - 01 Mar 2013 10:35 - 21939 of 81564

what absolute rubbish! ...... it happens that english is pretty much the lingua franca in all those countries mentioned

Fred1new - 01 Mar 2013 10:49 - 21940 of 81564

Tanker,

If so, setting, or encouraging similar standards here, does not help to modify their actions.

Also, reflections :-

ahoj - 01 Mar 2013 11:08 - 21942 of 81564

I agree with your point, anyone who doesn't like British style of life should leave the UK and go wherever they like the most. WHY ARE THEY STAYING HERE?

No offense, but they will be happy, Britons will be happier too.

There should be a pan-UK strategy to combat problem drinking - including a 50p minimum price for a unit of alcohol, experts say.

The call by a coalition of 70 health groups and campaigners comes as different approaches are being pursued in the UK.

Their report also called for a ban on advertising and tough rules on sales.

Industry said measures should target people who needed help, not everyone who enjoyed a drink.

Devolution has meant different strategies have been developing to tackle rising rates of problem drinking.

In Scotland a 50p price is set to be introduced, while a 45p threshold has been proposed for England and Wales.

Northern Ireland is yet to put forward a specific proposal, although it is reviewing pricing.
they should put a tax of 100% on takeaway meals that are killing people
the food is full of salt and fat drink is not as bad as takeaways

cynic - 01 Mar 2013 11:18 - 21944 of 81564

MrT - my comment related to your post 21940 ..... with regards to your other stuff, most of that is populist nonsense or even outright rubbish ..... but if you want to swallow it all and then vote accordingly, that is up to you ..... certainly far better that Supine Fred's attitude of "spout plenty; do nowt"

Haystack - 01 Mar 2013 11:34 - 21945 of 81564

The Trades Union and Socialist Coalition party got 62 votes. That was worse than the Elvis loves pets party at 72. it looks like Trades Unions and Socialists are not too popular these days.

The beer, baccy and crumpet party got 235 votes.

Cameron's response to the "local" election reminds me of this:

'Forward, the tory brigade!'
Was there a MP dismay'd ?
Not tho' the voter knew
Cameron had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & cry,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the tory three hundred.

Death to the right of them.

Death to the left of them.

Forward they cried.

Edit and death they left behind them!
