The lull before the storm

Where is everyone?

The PackExpo food packaging and processing exhibition is taking place in Chicago now.

Today NatureWorks president and chief executive Dennis McGrew will talk about the growing bio-resin market.

Tomorrow's presenters are Wal-Mart's Amy Zettlemoyer, director of packaging for the Sam's Club brand, and Matt Kistler vice president of package and product innovations, who will present the company's strategy going forward. In this keynote presentation, they will provide insights into some of company's packaging innovations and how they relate to consumer and environmental trends.

This will be the first time that Wal-Mart release FULL details of it's new packaging reduction initiative; I shouldn't think that Stanelco will get a specific mention but I am sure that their products will.

packaging technology and will showcase exhibitors state-of-the-art
advances in packaging machinery, converting machinery, materials,
packages and containers, and components. The most prominent companies
in the industry will be exhibiting and making product introductions at the
show. PACK EXPO International is a biennial event (every other year)ideal
timing for important industry updates and new product technology.

I don't think SEO are exhibiting halfamil but I sincerely hope that there is someone from the firm present there.

Just to confirm.

SEO are not exhibiting, perhaps they have enough ongoing at the moment. But as you say, a representative re any queries would be a good idea.

I hope it is not another missed opportunity GM, apparently all tickets for tomorrow have been sold!

Notifiable Interest



The Company has been notified by a letter dated 30 October 2006 that following a
sale of 85,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the Company ('Ordinary
Shares'), the Age of Reason Foundation now has an interest in 132,078,122
Ordinary Shares, representing a total of 13.19 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company.



The Age of Reason Foundation indicated in its letter to the Company that it has
sold the Ordinary Shares in order to fund the take up of part or all of its
entitlement under the Open Offer, as announced on 9 October 2006.

That should give them an extra 45,246,873 shares after or 262,324,995 total, and bring their ave down.


now we know who sold the 85m but who sold the 45m just after.

That will be the next RNS from AoR!

OK - something to work on!
AoR are therefore taking up between 81% and 100% of their entitlement - depending on if they are putting in more cash or not. They could still possibly be among the 11m Firm Placing also.

I believe chatter on friday was about 2 sales, 85m and 45m shares. Now we know the identity (and reason) of the 85m. So any guesses as to the 45m?

Possibly this could be Richards & Appleby doing the same operation but also releasing some cash. But if it were them they would presumably have to similarly notify the change in their holding.
I have long been curious as to how R&A fit in and I do suspect they are 'connected' with (or at least well known to) HW and/or SEO in some way but I have been unable to find a positive connection in my searches in the past.
