2006 / 2007 Football PremierShip !!!

G D Potts - 08 Aug 2006 17:48

The new season kicks off soon and I thought it would be good to hear some predictions and thoughts on the new season.
Personally predicting Man City to be the new champions whilst Man Utd get relegated.
Just post anything football related,

G D Potts - 21 Aug 2006 12:44 - 22 of 106

City crushed by Chelski but at least they will still win the league and Man Utd wont.

JT Master Investor - 21 Aug 2006 16:16 - 23 of 106

Everton to finish around 6th and claim a place in the UEFA Cup. AJ to finish top scorer with 40+!

lanayel - 21 Aug 2006 16:21 - 24 of 106

told you Arsenal's new stadium was jinxed !!!

;o)

G D Potts - 21 Aug 2006 19:02 - 25 of 106

jUST O'leary's Magic.

JT Master Investor - 24 Aug 2006 14:28 - 26 of 106

Anyone else see Ben Thatcher's assault on Pedro Mendes. The FA should act and ban Thatcher for 36 games!!

blueman - 24 Aug 2006 15:36 - 27 of 106

Great HIT by Benny Thatcher

He should have saved it for Divin` Ronaldo

The whole country would have cheered.

tweenie - 24 Aug 2006 16:41 - 28 of 106

benny thatcher to make guest appearance at WWF.
That must have seriously hurt.
Anyway Man UTD to go unbeaten until xmas, ole to be super sub again. win league.
Chelsea to sack morinho.
arsenal to get relegated.
wigan to win fa cup.
man city to invest in new players after B in ther BANG blows off following windy outbust from PSYCHO pearson and impales team coach.

G D Potts - 24 Aug 2006 16:52 - 29 of 106

Was at the game and found thatchers antics amusing, agression is his one attribute and in situations like that you just have to laugh - although if it had been ronaldo on the end of that challenge I would have been cheering.
Cant believe chelski lost and man utd won, and unfortunately MCFC look set for a dissapointing relegation battle.

blueman - 24 Aug 2006 22:52 - 30 of 106

Chin up GD - it`s early days yet.

G D Potts - 28 Aug 2006 14:31 - 31 of 106

Just been able to get hold of an Internet connection - WHAT A WIN.
Joey Barton with a stunning penatly to silence Arsenal for the first time in 18 meetings with Manchester City. This could spell great things for our season.
Chelsea looking shaky , team doesnt seem to be bonding as well as usual.
And poor old newcastle, the one team, bar Man Utd, that I would hate to support loosing their new 10 million signing on his debut!

JT Master Investor - 29 Aug 2006 08:53 - 32 of 106

The mighty Toffee's hammer Spurs at White Hart Lane with only 10 men. AJ will end up top scorer easily! Go on Moyes boy's!!

G D Potts - 29 Aug 2006 20:18 - 33 of 106

AJ is somehow getting goals again which arent penalties, I wish him best of luck for everton but hopefully not england.

JT Master Investor - 31 Aug 2006 10:20 - 34 of 106

Is it April 1st because I have just witnessed the craziest story ever. Carlos Tevez and Javier Macherano have apparently joined The Hammers on a season long loan!!

Fundamentalist - 31 Aug 2006 10:37 - 35 of 106

JT

the 2 players are owned by a media company (run by a friend of Abramovic) - looks as though a season long loan for Chelsea to decide if they want them or not and to stop them going to Man U or Arsenal

really is time the ruling bodies had a look into his dealings as its getting past a joke

Fundamentalist - 31 Aug 2006 11:01 - 36 of 106

blueman - 31 Aug 2006 11:37 - 37 of 106

What`s wrong with stopping them going to Manure or Arse??

Fundamentalist - 31 Aug 2006 12:05 - 38 of 106

If you want a one horse race each year due to a Russian billionaire using it to launder money then nothing lol

blueman - 31 Aug 2006 13:51 - 39 of 106

No I don`t want a one horse race.

The league needs to be evened out to give the "lesser" clubs a better chance.

This deal helps West Ham - good - much better than helping ManU, Liverpool or Arsenal. If one or two of the "lesser" clubs can finish in the top four then that will be good for the Premiership.

G D Potts - 31 Aug 2006 14:08 - 40 of 106

Im happy to see Chelski reign champions, but remember a few years back fundamentalist when Man Utd won 3 titles in a row - everything changes and no doubt the one horse race will too. Chelsea have the made the league a better one - every top club now plays at a higher level because Chelsea have raised the standards, not to high for city though who were the first team to beat them after mourinho, just look at how far English teams have gone in europe the last few years.

StarFrog - 31 Aug 2006 14:16 - 41 of 106

G D Potty: every top club now plays at a higher level because Chelsea have raised the standards

This is, of course, a joke.

Do you not recall the flare with which Arsenal graced the field long before anybody had ever heard of Abramovic! Even Man U can stake a claim at raising the standard of the English game long before Chelsea get a mention. And (I hate to admit) but I believe that it was Spurs who first brought foreign nationals to our green shores.
