A new non-java Trades page has been launched

George (ex MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2014 15:46

Hi Everyone,

To complement the new html stockwatch, we've just released a new version of the Trades page which provides a non-Java version of streaming. In addition there is a tidier layout and some more information on the page than before. For people having problems with the new version, there is still the option to choose the Java Streaming version on that page.

Please provide feedback of bugs etc.

Thanks
George

Mo06: By ex dividend indicator, do you mean a date, or a flag showing that today is an ex dividend date such as the N for news?

Mo06 - 05 Mar 2014 10:43 - 23 of 98

Just a flag showing Ex div today eg RIO & BLT.

Also the change value on the trades page for RIO is correct but wrong on the watchlist, which is odd...

Is L2 next...?

looking good, thanks for VWAP, makes life easier.

Mo06: Regarding ex dividend change prices, our static pages (i.e. ones that use our database for prices) show change based on yesterday's close. However the streaming data uses what is provided in real time by our supplier. They base change on the adjusted close. If you look at Google Finance, I think they do the same. We don't use adjusted close in our database, so it's a bit confusing as to what is correct.

No way of looking at highest and earliest trades, as before.
Also, Java does not allow filtering time.

George (ex MoneyAM) - 05 Mar 2014 12:09 - 28 of 98

midknight: I can assure that no functionality has been removed. Only additions have been made. If you are unsure how to do something, please ask.
1) Filter by time (as before). Then click the column header of the one you want to sort by. All previous sortable options are there, just no longer in a drop down box.
2) Java has never allowed filtering by time. This functionality hasn't changed.

George, how do I find e.g. earlest trades or highest trades?
That is what I was alluding to. Thanks.

George (ex MoneyAM) - 05 Mar 2014 13:44 - 30 of 98

midknight:
1) Choose the Time Filtered option and select a time period to filter by and click GO.
2) For earliest trade, click on the Time column to sort it ascending.
3) For high quantity click Qty.

For the highest trades by price it doesn't look like you can do that right now. I don't think that was on the site before but we can add it.

Any reason why the times of trades seem to be all over the place? I was looking at HSD.

ExecLine - 05 Mar 2014 14:51 - 32 of 98

I notice that sometimes, some kind of an event happens and a whole block of the page goes black.

Care to offer an explanation?

George (ex MoneyAM) - 05 Mar 2014 15:48 - 33 of 98

ExecLine: When new trades come in, they flash black. If the connection is disrupted and reconnected, the same thing will happen. On the Java trade app only the top row flashes black so it's less noticeable. However, if 10 new trades are added at the same time, you will only see 1 row flash, whereas with the new version, all 10 rows will flash.

George (ex MoneyAM) - 05 Mar 2014 15:50 - 34 of 98

Balerboy: I guess the trades were provided to us in that order. It's the same display if you look at the new Live Stream version or the Java Stream version, so it's a data issue rather than one specific to the new html streaming trades.

martinl2 - 05 Mar 2014 16:20 - 35 of 98

Have we lost the ability to order trades by size?

edit> worked it out now. Maybe rename 'time filtered' to 'filtered'?

George (ex MoneyAM) - 05 Mar 2014 16:47 - 36 of 98

ExecLine: I've released a patch regarding the flashing.

martinl2: You can only filter by time. You can sort by other fields once it's filtered but there is no other filtering other than by time.

Balerboy - 05 Mar 2014 16:48 - 37 of 98

Thank you george.,.

ExecLine - 05 Mar 2014 18:12 - 38 of 98

Hmmm? Black Flashers, you say?

Here's the nearest example I could find:

Hmmm? Anyhow, 'Ta', George.

Morning George,

Clicked on the trade button on stockwatch for Fogl and Kcom just now and athough they are both showing trades this morning, after waiting at least 20 seconds no trades appeared, only 'connecting'.

Edit......Just gave them another try, no luck after over 2 minutes, only change 'now states unconnected'.

Greek.

George (ex MoneyAM) - 06 Mar 2014 08:46 - 40 of 98

Morning Greek,

Sorry, I just got in the office so I don't know if this has corrected itself for you, but for me I added both to my stockwatch and clicked the T and both opened streaming trades straight away. Are you having problems with other stocks too?

George

Mo06 - 06 Mar 2014 09:07 - 41 of 98

The Trade Low & Trade High are still not updating on the trades page, AAL for example showing high of 1547.50 vs a trade high of 1562 on my Stockwatch.
