Stock Bunny
The market is looking very fragile at the moment as in the Far East overnight.
There is just a possibility that this could develop into a very fast and sharp sell off so I do not want to be caught on the wrong side of it.
D.

stockbunny - 17 Nov 2003 14:01 - 23 of 44

Sitting firmly on my hands currently (lol) and using the time to
research potential targets given an attractive price being available
for them! Yes ntk98 I follow the 'contrarian' tactical approach generally
if it's already upwardly mobile I don't tend to find it an attractive
opportunity but it doesn't always work, I've had the odd finger bitten!

little woman - 17 Nov 2003 14:04 - 24 of 44

ntk98 I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are going on about!

stockbunny - 17 Nov 2003 14:13 - 25 of 44

Little Woman - buy you a coffee in the tea rooms? Are you having a
relatively good day?
On reviewing my last post and the comment on what's upwardly mobile
not being attractive..This could be read in an interesting light when
applied to other life areas (and explain a great deal too)
Ah...A hearty laughing session is good for the soul!

I agree with all reagrds the Far east problem. I mean if taking time to research is fine, but cutting loss today if a bad idea, MM use scare tactic as well to marke down price, increse spread react today you loose a lot. If ever intend to cutting any thing we should do regularly but not today. Obserse closely what happen and prepare to take measure agaisnt a market crash is OK, crocodile, but that should be the last thing on our mind.

If looking back all the crash of economie cause by a wave of sells, not because of the problem in 1rst WW, 2nd WW make a certain stock less valuable, the cause of price failure is IMO panic sell, in modern time it worst because one phone call, or now only a finger tips or in comecase trading system with stop loss could alone be enough to trigger instability of the stock market. Or would you think the Falkland war would make Tesco, safeway and saint burry or pub or hotel in London look less attractive. How come that most people think war is at fault? price of those share can fall temporary but after war it would rise back there. That there is a necessary for taken care and in the worst case sell erything you have is not cause by war but caused by a wave of panic selling which erode the share price ungenuine ly so much that after ware thing take long to recover, and that is the reaon you have to swimm with the p[anic wave even you don't like. But not because of war, because of the assaination of somepresident etc ...should have no effect on productivity, share value at all.

The war in Irak, on the one hand is a stupid contruct war base on unbelieveable agent report, unprepared information activity, and UK plus USA have to take the batter at the moment for going to war in such a bad manner even WW veterans will be shocked for seeing what the modern war machine is capable of ... nothing much ; on the other hand it is a justice war, a regime which terrors their own people is not worth a dime to be support. No argument on souverainity, independence, ideology or humanity or peace process can protect such a regim or critisize so who ever chase that regime down in a war form, or poliical form deserve the right to be partly forgiven for its mistake in the whole.

OK the west haven't been acting right and after what ever happen they own people a appology but on the other side the people should never let their sentiment cover their intelligence and say that regime is bad, they are killer let sit down and talk with them they must admit it won't work for how long already.

It is the face of the whole world against such a regime or who evrr still want to support it , how long have they sit on their hand let thing in Bosnia, former Jugoslavia, Ethiopean, Kongo, last for decade and let the humanity suffer before some countries decide to stand up and stop the devils. I think a political union will forms soon

Therefore the war in Far east has nocause to crash the market, if people know and just not jump to conclusion and start the panic selling of all

Melnibone - 17 Nov 2003 16:02 - 35 of 44

MKS down to 279p.

If it closes below 278, and the US continues to drop
after the FTSE closes, then I see a lot of fresh air
below this stock.

ntk98 - 17 Nov 2003 16:13 - 36 of 44

and market is better now buyers are comming back.... wonder are they the same who sold in the morning. well probaly ?77 loss on a position for a stock of 10% spread is nothing if you care about a 10K investment

ntk98 - 17 Nov 2003 16:24 - 37 of 44

look at OYS panic sell will come back soon.

Look at AZN great stock great news currently down -0.1% potential when this non-sense of panic selling went over. ZOO and YOO great potential,

little woman - 17 Nov 2003 16:47 - 38 of 44

Stockbunny, as most of threads are getting lost (because there are now so many) you may as well just post on this thread.

Personally I won't pay for crest membership, but have 2 on line nominee accounts. One with comdirect (who if you are going to hold the shares for a while will register you so that you can vote etc.) and the other with Hoodless & Brennan which I use for all my short term trading. I'm using Comdirect less & less as HB have recently increased/improved the facilities on the account and charge only 7 a deal against 12.50 a deal with comdirect. Also with HB, dividend certs come direct as they register my account no with the nominee details. I don't know if everything else comes automatically, because I've never held a share long enough with them! (They also gave me one month with no brokers fees trading, which was very useful).

little woman - 17 Nov 2003 16:53 - 39 of 44

ntk98

Don't worry about it, a lot of stop losses have kicked in. We often have a 2 day correction followed by a week or two of recovery! (and each the recovery is better than the last time!)

ntk98 - 17 Nov 2003 22:21 - 40 of 44

Yes

I am not very concerning regarding current situation, will recover soon, little woman,

Day like today are great only for MM. On one stock CWV I could see that phenpomena of destroying stop loss. Price sank nesarly vertical 35% down stay down for 5min and came back to normal level. It was not the first time, therefore usually I do research before buying stock, I check TA to see prive level pattern, then I check on News coverage, then check FBB, check for fundamental cash debt, product management problem via news, compare tips, check present of certain follower groups, concentrate on cause for down in the chart and check how FBB behaves when price decreases, then the last is come back to TA check should I buy immediately or rather wait. after all, set stop loss 15 % and on critical day, it is me who has the finger for trigger stop loss and not any automat .... saw few times automatic got wrongly triggered by MM already. after all that I must be very desperate to decide a sell with loss or non profit, well it slow and some time I miss a fast, vertical upjumping profit but I make less mistake buy buying too high, and never have no trust in stock I keep, when short termer comimg round and badmouthing the stock to bring people in to panic sell.

In previous msg I mean

look at OYS. panic sell and MM game. will recover soon soon.
"
Look at AZN great stock. great news. currently down -0.1%. great potential when this non-sense of panic selling went over. ZOO and YOO great potential"

SSE was tips today but I think GAL, AZN and AZM has better chance long term
GAL for new version of its Ovcon oral contraceptive pill,
AZN for Symbicort Turbuhaler, current world market for fixed combination asthma
products is estimated to be worth 3.5 bln usd.
AZM for Grant Of USA Patent For ATL-962 For The Treatment Of Obesity And Related Disorders

all the three products of these company are practically responsible for life and death ,imo, and will run for profit for at least 10 yrs if not longer, until something else can replace them

ntk98 - 17 Nov 2003 22:44 - 41 of 44
