bulletinboard@moneyam.com Is the right address Isn't It?

chocolat - 24 Nov 2004 19:24 - 25 of 1427

No it isn't Stan - you must always click on the recipient's name to send an internal message - bulletinboard@moneyam is merely the conduit.

Fred1new - 24 Nov 2004 20:48 - 26 of 1427

I have responded to test mail. You should have received my E-mail and Address etc.

MG. We had a grand total of 3 attending. Some interesting speculations about market in general and a little about individual shares and Brokers and MMS tactics. We then discussed as usual "politics" and general distastes like grumpy old men. I think we need a small agenda and also a slightly larger number. The beer was good as it was a Camara pub.

We are going to try to have another meet. Probably a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday late afternoon or early evening in about 4-6 weeks time, at the same pub. (The room is quiet and non-smoking, if not very salubrious).

If there are interested punters out there, suggestions are welcome. (Not rude unless they are about Dil.

55011 - 27 Apr 2005 12:19 - 38 of 1427

Morning Fred. "Grumpy old men"? Oh, I thought we were all quite cheerful really! I agree that the beer was good, even if the second shift of bar-keeper turned ordering into something of a lucky dip. Hope you and Stan both got back OK.

I've just flogged a small holding, which turned out to be above NMS. The odd thing was that it would have been easier to trade on line as the size allowed at the time was much bigger than the telephone broker quoted. Last time I looked on L2 (earlier this month) there were only two MMs, one dealing in 1,000 lots and the other going for up to 10,000. Quite a difference, a factor of 10. Today the broker said that there are four MMS in the stock, max 500. Question therefore arises is whether L2 really gives us the full picture. Or maybe the situation is just rather fluid just now.

The broker remarked on the present dull tone of the market, saying people were just sitting on their hands, and suggested that the forthcoming UK election was the problem. So there we have it. All will be well after May 5th. Or will it?

Fred1new - 27 Apr 2005 15:23 - 39 of 1427

Good afternoon, It seems that 2 of us got home. Haven't heared from Stan. Was Stopped out on OXB while I was out. Think looking at the market and our chat I am not unhappy to have a small amount of cashin hand.
But one thing which did annoy me about last night was, that I was driving and couldn't taste the variety of beers on sale.
Don't think my wife would deliver me to a pub and pick me up later. If there is another meeting may risk asking her though.

Stan - 27 Apr 2005 16:13 - 40 of 1427

Yep no problems getting home Fred, trains went fine, and I did enjoy the Informal meeting. Good to meet you 55011.

Certainly In favour of another meeting as Fred has suggested (the earlier start favoured for getting home) In my case. Will be on Holiday 27th May til' 6th June. but available either side of that week.

I do sympathise with you about the Ale tasting Fred, they do have a good variety there.

Just to encourage anyone thinking of attending next time the pub Is only about a 10 minute walk from New Street mainline station In Birmingham.

mg - 27 Apr 2005 17:38 - 41 of 1427

A central Brum pub is perfect for me - provided the dates are OK count me in for next time.
