You must have done well to hold bbc this long. No reason why it can't continue.
I have a firm you might be interested in and because you are an ifa you will realise how and why it works. I have been in it since 61p and even though it has been 1.40 I haven't sold a single share... The shares have dropped back to 93.5p for no reason whatsoever over the past few months...
The company is Broker Network Holdings (BNH) Basically it provides a network for insurance brokers, sorts compliance etc. It floated (raised 2m) to fund acquisitions - i.e. existing client brokerages (ifas too!!) where the principals are nearing retirement looking for a way out because of the stringent fsa regulations. It acquires the brokers on their own terms (average 1.13 x earnings). Since the insurance industry has been regulated it has seen more and more firms joining the network and its acquisitions have been much cheaper than budgeted.
With a market cap of 14m with approx 3.5-4m cash in bank, generating 1m every 6 months on a p/e of 7-8, the shares look dirt cheap!! They report next month and results should be very good. Shares mag tipped them as a top share for 2005 at 1.27. Wouldn't have thought you would lose any money at the price they are at at the mo. The company is so small that it has been overlooked. there aren't many shares in circulation so if you do pick some up, watch them move when buying starts... Incidentally, the person that gave me this tip was the person that tipped BBC to me at 1.00 when I was starting out (i was too young to realise the value!!). I know you don't like people ramping shares on this page but I thought I would give you chance to have a look at this and see what you think.

I don't think so funnily enough. A bit spooky that your name is the same as someone my dad knows and it turns out you live about 3 miles from me and do pretty much the same job!!!

Quick glance at BNH.
Can't see anything to tempt me at the moment, but I think there may be a fall from current price shortly. If they drop to about 80pps, then I will perhaps have a little flutter, but I do hope you prove me wrong on that one.

Another day, another house builder reports slowing sales (Wilson Bowden). But during this season of builders interims, I'll give you odds of a Woodbine to One that BBC buck the trend and report completions and forward orders at least in line with expectations and more likely, ahead of expectations.
Any takers???

Hello anybody at all!!
Interims are usually reported for this outfit during the first couple of days of August.
Historically we see a rise in the few days before and after the report and this year will be no different as all the doom mongers in the housing arena say "Oh yeah, this one just keeps growing regardless of market conditions".
Don't forget it now, only to try to work out why its risen so much in 4/5 weeks time!!

Talking to myself again, but here goes.
Within 2 weeks now of the interims for BBC, if they release at the same time as always. This sector has been out of fashion, and other builders have been reporting tough conditions and lower margins so the SP has been gently lowered to about 447pps.
I expect an upbeat statement showing full year figures on track or slightly ahead, vindicating Ben Baileys slight change in product range and there geographical fastness. I also expect a forward looking prediction of good steady trading in the year ahead.
When this years forecast was made at the begining of the year, the price rose to in excess of 500pps, so a forecast of in line should see a return towards these levels. Add to that the fact that even 500pps was on one of the lowest EPS multiples in the sector and I think we have a winner.
Anyone at all have any thoughts other than these?
